This week, Tom McGinn, owner of American Basketball Association franchises in Sterling and Davenport, Iowa, said in a telephone interview he intends to schedule at least half of the Sterling team’s home games for the 2007-08 season in Rockford.

This is the Sauk Valley Rollers that are being discussed in the article. Not a new team, even though, there is talk that Mr. McGinn has talked about adding a third team in the Rockford area. This may be his litmus test to the viability and marketability of a team in the future.
