The Official 2007 San Antonio Missions Thread

I figured I would make a thread that will contian infomation about the 2007 San Antonio Missions, who are affiliated in their first year with the NL San Diego Padres.

The Missions were affiliated with the Seattle Mariners for the past six seasons, and the LA Dodgers for 24 seasons before that.

In the whole history of the Missions (not entirely known as the Missions) they have won 10 Texas League titles: 1897, 1908, 1933, 1950, 1961, 1963, 1964, 1997, 2002, & 2003.

The Missions play at Nelson Wolff Stadium since 1994. This season marks the first time the Missions will opporate the stadium. They have made a few upgrades that were much needed. For one, a new video scoreboard.

I really hope our time with the Padres will be a sucessful.

*Missions southpaw Cesar Ramos tossed the Missions first shutout complete game of the season Sunday Night against Midland beating the 4-0. Ramos didn't give up a hit until the sixth inning and only allowed three on the night.
