Not to be a total cynic, but considering his track record, this doesn't surprise me a bit.

The owner of the new team had contacted people within in the ABA over the past 4 months.

Not comedy in the usual sense, but rather the posts are so wild that reading them just makes me laugh. Not quite sure about accuracy and connections. Is it possible? Absolutely. But A1's delivery and outlandishness makes him/her seem terribly shallow. News flash - all seven teams that finished the CBA season will return next year, stronger than ever. If you mean "two players" on the roster, yeah. But Lewis Monroe, who was also on the team's roster at the end of the season, was from Indiana University of Indiana. And if you want to gripe about IUPUI, Connie, there are two different franchises (Butte and the Alley Cats) who have IUPUI players on their roster. Nice way to muck up your facts, Connie.

And you can look up pictures on line where they played in front of 1,500 people - especially near the end of the season when they were playing .500 basketball under the tutelage of Jaren Jackson.

OneBetter...you have a good point, but for me, Chuck the Writer gets a pass. I laugh so hard at everything he writes. Being an owner, I'm not going to say anything out of line. I have met Joe once and found him to be a very nice guy who I truly believe wants to make this league the best it can be. However, based on last season, the fans on the board have every right to be critical and if they want to be humorous at the same timel...well then, its all the better!
