If there is one thing that is simple and economical to have up to date is the individual team websites. That has been a problem in the ABA, as well as the other basketball minor leagues.

The site doesn't need all the bells and whistles and flash, but should at least appear presentable and be informative. There is no reason why a site should not be updated at least once a week. If the person doing that is on the road with the team, then a few more days is understandable. But the game results, standings, stats should be there and accurate.

Just looking for some feedback on the different team sites and what you think about them. What's good, bad, needs to be done. Also, if you have a suggestion for a specific site or in general, post it here and that may be a good way of getting others to do the same for improvements.

I liked how the Maryland website had the standings for its division on the main page. I thought Vermont's players page was very well done, with photos and a brief bio of each player. I think the main page of a team's site should definitely include the time, date, and location of the next game.

Jones235...I agree with you that Vermont's website was very well done. You can pull up any game on their schedule, drill down to the box score, drill down to the player, and view the players stats and shot chart. Its not fancy, but its clean, informative and up to date.

The JockTrac software that the league is mandating is what Vermont used last year. Apparently, I've been told that it can actually update the website with in game stats while the game is being played. I hope that the league and the individual teams will do their job to keep their sites current so that Preeths and the staff at OSC don't have to do it for us.

Carter,

Darren here, we were using Joctrac also, last year and where gamecasting our home games worked very well, until we updated, then we ran into a couple of cliches, but Joctrac has since resolved them. We are happy with it and it should work great for all of us.

Good to see a website and Joctrac worked out so well this year.

Those stats on the ABA site have been a big improvement.
