The Fayetteville Fireantz just won the 2007 Southern Professional Hockey League Championship.

The Fayetteville Guard will be next 2007 NIFL Champions

Then it will be the Fayetteville SwampDogs baseball team with the CPL Championship

Wow, now all Fayetteville needs is a Nocturnal Rake Fighting Team to take THAT championship and they'll be world renowned!

LOL Congrats Fayetteville.....you're doing something right. ;)

We will see...If they have to play the championship in Wyoming and win..then they will truly earn it..But that will be very tough :p

Since the championship is going through Casper this year and I don't think there is anyone in the league that can beat us in our house, Good Luck:p

The championship game will be held in Fayetteville this year, The cavs maybe invited.

After last years nut roll.

The road to the championship IS THROUGH Fayetteville. Sorry to break that to you.

I do like your enthusiasm though.

How and where does the 13-1 come from?

The Guard will still be 14-0 at the end of the year.

Does Fayetteville have a chess team? A 'Magic The Gathering" team? A team in the Scrabble Development league? If so how are they doing? Forgive me for not getting too excited about 3rd tier 'profesional' sports franchises (except the one I work for). What Im looking foward to is The Golden State Warriors knocking off no 1 seed Dallas.

translation:

complain when the league sucks, complain when they win the title, complain complain complain...

why play at all if they're 3rd tier right??

Guys, I am not sure right now who will win what for the rest of the year, but I do hope the the Guard is in it at the end.

Last year was a mess for the "Indoor Bowl" for both teams. I don't want to rehash about he said, she said and the like, nor whom is at fault, but let's be sure os the game and the like. Billings and the Guard are or for them I should were good teams and both deserved to win it but it did not work out for us.

The travel situation was screwed up is the biggest reason I can give for the game not going the Guard's way. Both teams were about equal in all areas so either could have won but to get there with little to no sleep and expect to be at your best I don't think so. No matter, that was last year so let's see what happens this year. Billings has moved on, maybe not to greener pastures but time will tell for them.

As far as the NUIFL championship going thru Casper, I am not too sure about that until I see scores from the other teams in the conf. My bet is at least one team from CA and one from TX will give you a run for your money.

The same goes true for us, FL teams have played little or none at all. I can see right now that unless things change, F'ville, G'boro and Cincy all making the playoffs. The Atlantic East with only three teams by far has the most experience and should not have a problem with anyone. I could be wrong but we will beat up on each other all year but outside our division lookout. Let's see what happens to the rest of the league.

This you can bet on the Atlantic Conf. championship will go thru F'ville this year. As Always GO GUARD!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then its our cakewalk of a schedule that will land the game in Casper as we continue to destroy our opponents:-D

I think I'd rather go 11-3 or 10-4 in the UIF than to wonder if our next road game will happen.

They already did in the first half....

We led SD 24-20 at half and then whooped 'em in the second half. SD already whooped the best team from Texas.:p

Honestly...That you are better than one real team? There are only two teams in this league that are worth a hoot...And they will surely meet in the Indoor Bowl. But who reallly cares...This is such a sham of a league. I cant for the life of me understand why the two teams in this league who are worth a darn stayed..Couldnt they see the writing on the wall? They didnt notice the mass exodus in the off season to the UIF , The AIFA...Hell a few teams were so fed up they went and created their own league (the WIFL) ..Oh yeah by the way which is a great league with no problems thus far. But anyhow lets just skip the season and go right to Fayetteville vs. Wyoming. Then someone take this league behind the (horse)barn and put it out of its misery.

I certainly won't brag heavily about a Cavalry Indoor Bowl victory this season. I will certainly take it, but will always know that the road there isn't going to be too tough.
