ABA announces affiliates program
04/17/07 - American Basketball Association (ABA)

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced a new program called ABA AFFILIATES. ABA AFFILIATES are sports organizations nationwide that have established a relationship with the ABA and will provide their members with special programs relating to tickets, merchandise and promotions. According to Brad Hester, ABA VP of Team Operations and coordinator of the program, "Our objective is to bring the excitement and affordability of the ABA to as many people as possible. ABA AFFILIATES provides us the opportunity to create a huge fan base and we can also use our tremendous reach to help publicize and promote these fine organizations. We already have several amateur basketball leagues, a sports fitness facility, and a national organization with over 30,000 members involved and the interest is growing."

For more information about how your organization can become an ABA AFFILIATE, please contact Brad Hester at bhester@abalive.com or visit www.abalive.com.

Don't tell us WHAT ... tell us WHO the ABA Affiliates are?

There is no viewable representation of the ABA AFFILIATES program on the ABA website

As the old saying goes, "Cows may come and cows may go, but the bull in this place goes on forever."

BTW: This is another one of those areas where Joe will have to cool his heels. When the ABA was a private company, he could say pretty much what he wants. As a public company, stockholders could sue for fraud, asking "Who are those affiliates."

Ummm... there's been an Affiliates section on the ABA web site since several hours before the release was posted. The link is under the "Sponsors" banner on the main page.

A couple of you try way too hard to find a half dozen reasons a day to start a new thread to rip on the ABA.

I'll apologize to the fact that there is something on the ABA website now ...

But at the time of the release appearing at OSC, I did not see a banner on the ABA website!

The ABA Affiliates release appeared on the ABA website the following day of which it appeared at OSC.

I can't help if the ABA likes to release info out to the media before they even post it to their own website?!

And still ... WHO are the affiliates other than Forever Fit?

[And now, Ft. Wayne's Best has just been added while I am typing this post]

I am not ripping the ABA ... I ask questions that the ABA should already know the answers to!

they do a good job of making themselves look like idiots all by themselves.

Gee let me count the ways ...

Joe Newman power struggle
Cancelling games without warning or notice
Defunct teams being replaced by replacement teams who never get off the ground

Need I say more ...

As a sidenote, veteran posters are also skeptical and suspicious of new posters who defend the ABA. I see your post count is at 3.
