Called the league office and they said for now all Long Island Prime Time games have been cancelled. Spoke with the Owner and GM James Ryans yesterday and he said he hoped they were going to play by next weekend. Great job USBL. If you start the league with a team that can't fund itself then you make it bad for all the other teams that are supposed to play you!
You owe it to your league to support the team financially for the other teams in your league.

..so maybe the New Jersey Meteors are out of business too.
Gary and Albany should be the class of the spring season, for sure.

This both amazing and terrible. I mean granted, those two franchises appeared to be jokes, but I seriously thought that the Meteors could materialize, and though the PrimeTime are not followable they at least existed.
I really hope things start to level off soon.
If these two teams come back they better be legitimate.
I just thought of something, what does this do to the Eastern Division?? Also, what is the league going to do about the schedule??
For those of you who have spoken with USBL exec Ed Krinsky you have surely heard him say "due diligence" about 100 times when talking about adding franchises.
Well, somebody has been dropping the ball in this area for about 3 years now.
It's one thing for the league's talent level to drop each season, but it's another for the league's foundation to continually whither away.
Right now it's about as stable as a 75-year-old drunk walking a balance beam.
EDIT - word is that both teams are done without having played a game.

Now the deathwatch turns to Delaware. Ughh - last season all over again. I guess Brooklyn and Albany will play each other about 20 times...
Again - why wasn't any of this addressed in January? Very disappointing....

..and I got to see their entire playing history :).
I assume that game will be carried forward in the league standings, as it was an official game.

Put that game program on e-Bay.

Too bad this team was one & done. They were called Long Island, but apparently played their games in Queens. I was hoping to actually catch one of their games this season. I intended to do that last year, but did not get around to it.
Just curious to hear some more info on the team. If anyone out there saw one of their games, especially at home, I would be interested in hearing about attendance, venue, etc.
Many of the Strong Island Sound players were on the roster last season, and James Ryans, the head coach, is a former assistant coach of the Sound.
They made it impossible to follow them, not even having a website. Too bad.
