How about completely revamping AA hockey?

WCHL - Rockies west to Coast

CHL - Rockies East to Mississippi

ECHL - Mississippi East to the Coast

Play withing their league for the regular season. Their own playoffs and then a National Championship.

Thoughts Anyone

there was still a WCHL. They merged with the ECHL a few years back. Sorry Freddy. I might include the SPHL's more stable franchises.

I know the league merged but for naming purposes (west coast) (east coast) (Central)

Forgot about the SPHL

What about the fledgling NEHL.... Heard Danbury's Section 102 is back to their same old FANATICAL behavior at NEHL games

I'm not sure I would raise us to the level of FANATICS but six people were arrested at the second to the last game after the Stars goalie started to beat up on one of the Danville Pounders. Now that's a misnomer if I've ever heard one.

This might work
If there was a group like baseball's National Association to impose order on minor leagues in hockey, but much of what the National Association does (under the sanction of MLB) wouldn't be allowed because pro hockey doesn't have the anti-trust exemption baseball does.
