Interesting press release. The PBL has hired a true sports business person to do league operations. Sorry Brad, working at Loews doesnt prepare you for sports management. ALso Intersting to see 3 office locations...hmmm Chicago, Rochester, Washington. I bet the new teams will be, Rochester, Maryland, Minnesota and anyone else that Joe pissed off. Maybe Arkansas?

At the ABA owners meeting lets see how bad Joe throws this group under the bus. Oh yes he will be promoting an apparel deal and a deal that each ABA team can go public like the ABA did and get lots of money. Someone should bring a list or promises from the past 5 years and see that nothing happened.

Total number of owners to be there out of 62.....maybe now 24

Also will be his new concept, 4 teams per city to reduce travel costs and make sure no games are missed.

Looks like the PBL is all Rochester so far...maybe they can split up their 18 man roster and have two teams for the PBL.

If Maryland is in then how come no announcement? How come Jeanette Mccool, one of their owners, is going to the ABA owners' meeting tomorrow?

If Minnesota is in the PBL, how come their owner was on the conference call talking about how to improve the ABA?

All we have so far is a web holder page and Rochester. Two of the three "offices" are where Rochester owners live, one is where Doyle lives agreed...but that does not mean the Nighthawks are definitely in the PBL. And now we have a Razorshark employee being named as VP of Operations.

Anyone check to see who has registered the PBL's domain names? Might give another clue.

Out of 60? ABA teams, How many do you think would qualify to be in the PBL...maybe 4-6.

So you have the best run organizations leave. Thats what is happening.

The PBL web site name is registered to ...space 150, so that means Minnesota is in. I called Maryland yesterday to confirm that someone is going to the ABA meeting, They said ....NO, so now you have Maryland in it.

Rochester
Maryland
Minnesota

I called Hollywood, they wil play in the PBL, BUT only if there are west coast teams. SO they said they would wait a year but would not play in the ABA for sure.

There were 2 ownership groups flying into Chicago for an interview to be in the PBL, one was from Omaha, the other from Hartford.

This league wil have teams, and owners with money, and they will play all their games. Looks like they got the right guy to run the league in Steve Rossi. SO Joe can spin his BS for the 7 straight year and sure there will be teams in the ABA and for sure there will be no stats, no fans and games missed. Why would this year be any different than other years? The one chance the ABA had with the Doyle group to clean it up has left.

The more calls I make, the more the PBL looks like a very solid and legit league.

I like the fact that Steve Rossi is a part of this league. In my dealings with him, he has been upfront and honest about the team and the league as a whole. I think he is the right man to get things going as he will do the opposite of what the ABA has done.

We do know Vermont will not jump, and many of the teams in the Blue North will be staying on. At least, this is what I have heard from multiple sources that do not include team owners.
