Marlaynd will be staying put in the ABA, it has turned out that Tom Doyle who once tryed to take over the ABA until he didnt figure out until he was in the middle of it all that he did not have the majority of share holders of the ABA on his side and failed.......... has failed again, and this time with his own franchise ....... or so we thought???

It turns out that Tom Doyle tryed to pick up "his" Maryland team and move them to the PBL that is suppose to start play next season. Only one problem , Tom Doyle was not even the majority owner of the Maryland team of whom he portrayed to be "his team" He actually only owns 37% of the Maryland Franchise.

The majority ownership of Maryland has met and decided to stay in the ABA and that Tom Doyle will no longer be serving as a spokesperson for the Maryland team and he will still have a limited role in the franchise but that will be all the power he will have.

Wasent this the same guy who reportedly was almost in charge of the enitre ABA just a few months ago ? Now we find out he only owned a portion of Maryland and has even had to take a demotion from them.

The justification Maryland has made for staying in the ABA is a logical one, the PBL is a new league yet to get off the ground and is simmilar in many ways to the failed league of the AAPBL which tryed to start up 3 years ago and ceased operations only 3 months before the season was to tip off.

The PBL is set to start play in just 8 months yet they only have one announced team ( Rochester) , a one page web site which provides no information what so ever about the league. Maryland was quick to find out that the teams that were expected to jump from the ABA to the PBL declined to make the jump to the PBL.

The majority of Maryland owners wanted no part in a start up league.

Step 1. - Tom Doyle trys to take over the ABA and convinces Rochester and Hollywood owners that he can do it.

Step 2. - Tom Doyle - Fails in his take over because he did not have the majority of ABA share holders on his side unlike what he told Rochester and Hollywood.

Step 3. - Tom Doyle is removed as President of the ABA

Step 4. - Tom Doyle attempts to take his Maryland team to the PBL , only to find out he didnt even have the majority of owners of his own team to back him up, they veto the move , stay in the ABA and demote Tom Doyle as he is not longer spokesperson of the Maryland team and diminish his role with the team , the same team people assumed was " his team" he only ended up owning 37% of it.

Step 5. - DO NOT HIRE TOM DOYLE AS YOUR LAWYER !

So what happens when Doyle's 37% leaves the Nighthawks? Another dead franchise?

Quite frankly, I don't trust you or a1sports, so I'm just going to wait and let everything sort itself out.

I dont think you get it , this clearly means that the knighthawks dont want/need Doyle around. The majority of ownership has told him "we dont agree with you " We dont want any part of the PBL we are staying put in the ABA , except a smaller role with the team and we will let you stay around.

There is a reason why Tom Doyle only owned 37% of the team , the other owners have more capital then he does , he needed them , not the other way around.

Maryland is staying in the ABA that is a fact , one that can easily be checked , even JamesABA a poster on this site , recieved the Tip that Maryland was staying put in the ABA.

Alex Wolf and Todd Weir two of the ABA's best owners played a large role behind closed doors in keeping Joe Newman in power, they both agree with the ABA system of teams being indivdual business and keeping all of their own profits , now that the ABA has gone public and signed a clothing apparel deal both of these owners were the main reason for teams getting a kick back on every item purchased from this apparel line , Owners of teams will recieve a kick back check monthly from the Apparel that even includes team uniforms , so when ABA teams purchase thier own uniforms at a discoutned price they are even getting money back on that as well as every other teams uniforms.

Tom Doyle wanted complete revenue sharing in the ABA which led to him trying to take over the ABA and making enemies with powerful owners , and in the end even getting the owners of his own team in Maryland to turn on him.

DOWN GOES DOYLE !

Like Doyle cares. IF he loses then he goes and starts a new team and the Nighthawks are left high and dry.

I'm skeptical of all of this until I see a press release.

Hey coward, why do you hide behind your several names ? Afraid that people will find you out?
In any event, Doyle does not want to be robbed and stabbed in the back by you or the ABA* again. Even if he does sell his share to other owners they will have 100% of a rec league team.
BTW
Most people here do not care what you have to say, the only purpose you serve is to be the butt of our jokes.
I do however want my refund on season tickets from you and your associates. Can you send it in the form of a money order, no checks!
But being part of the dead beat ABA* it will never happen.
Have a good day, jack.

ABA* = ABA light as in light fingers.

You know, if it came from a somewhat reliable source, I would believe you!

But it doesn't.

Doyle owns 37% on his own. Can you give me a breakdown on the percentages of the other owners?
