View Full Version : Three MISL expansion teams for the 2007-08 season
I watched the MISL Playoff Preview show, they announced three expansion teams for the 2007-08 season.
Monterrey, Mexico
Newark, New Jersey
Orlando Sharks
So 9 teams will be competing next season.

the presence of the MISL makes good sense; it's the SPRING LEAGUE of pro soccer, like the AFL (mainly anyway) is the bona fide SPRING LEAGUE of pro football... i do hope the success of the league continues and increases.

Since when has the MISL been a spring league? More like winter, no? Has there been a schedule change for which I've missed the memo?
Will California survive all by its lonesome in Stockton?
Chicago? Milwaukee?
The season runs from November through April after the Championship in Detroit on April 21st.
It's still mostly a winter sport.
Thier is a possiblity of Kansas City coming back next season, if that does then there will be 2 five team divisions.
Has anyone been watching the MISL games on Versus, they have done a very proffesional job covering the games.
This sat 4pm est will be Detroit vs. Milwaukee.

Unless KC got new ownership, I wouldn't hold my breath. The Comets were hoping for a suburban arena that would be cheaper than Kemper or the Sprint Center. Overland Park and Olathe both scuttled arena plans due to opposition by CAVE (Citizens Against Virtually Everything).
Before I sound too negative, I did find this http://www.kansascity.com/115/story/57105.html

yeah, ya see, in S. TX. it has seemed like Spring since like the 1st week of FEB., with the exception of a freak cold blast in March. so i guess you're just flat out right.

True. My only complaint is how far the score bar comes down the screen.
