Well, "expansion-itis" has hit the American Basketball Association once again. This time, Pensacola, Fla. joined the ABA as its 17th, and hopefully, final expansion team.

I only have one question here, actually two:

1. When will all of this expansion end?

2. Assuming there's still more expansion in the works, what cities would be good candidates?

Aside from that, it'll be interesting to see if even one of these franchises hangs around long enough to play its first game, let alone all of them. Any questions? :?

Good candidates, you ask? Oh, there's many.

Fallujah.

Kandahar.

Grozny.

Monrovia, Liberia.

Pattani, Thailand.

Belfast.

Montreal.

San Cristobal, Chiapas, Mexico.

Cali, Colombia.

Havana.

Battle Mountain, Nevada. (Hey, it has casinos and a brothel, a veritable tourist destination for ABA fans!)
