We've seen pretty regular updates on the team. Hasn't looked like any out-of-the-ordinary trouble. On any team, you'll have some player and personnel issues at one time or another.

I don't have Disco's wide range of experience with Indoor football, but I have to agree . . . those two keep me in stitches on game day!! :p

Just thought I'd chime in and say that I attended the game today in Katy. Not a bad first run on and off the field. Not trying to tell a story here, just sharing some things I noticed.
They had computer problems before the game but seemed to get things handled with about 15 minutes before kick off. The result was a line of people waiting for tickets that all probably got in before kick off. Someone from the organization came out to tell the people in line what was happening. The communication was appreciated.
I didn't hear an official attendance announced. The place seemed no more than 10-20% full. The people who were there got off to a quiet start. The crowd seemed to get into the game in the 2nd half.
The game was a story of two completely different halves. In the first half, Katy turned the ball over a few times while CC scored a TD on every possession save their final possession of the half which ended on a missed FG. The first half score was 61-41 (or something close to that). The final score was 70-54 in favor of Corpus. Therefore, after 102 total points being scored in the 1st half, both teams combined for only 22 points in the 2nd.
Lots of former professional players were there. David Klingler was probably the most notable. There was a former Oiler, former Brown, former CFL player and a woman's league player also there. All of these people were introduced during half time.
A woman took a pretty tough shot to the head in the 2nd half. She was on the sideline box suites and a pass sailed over the wall and hit her pretty hard. I'm pretty sure she stayed on her feet but was obviously dazed. She stared blankly for a good couple of minutes after being hit. I saw her walk out a little later. She still seemed wobbly. Hope she's OK.
Katy has an exciting KR/WR. Wears #3. I think his name is Wallace. He returned 2 kick offs for TDs. I think he scored another TD on a long pass play. I wasn't overly impressed with Higgs. He seemed awfully heavy. In fairness, CC played tough defense and pressured him.
The organization seemed to be in control. The game presentation was good. Things seemed organized on the surface.
Thats all I can think of for now. My son and I enjoyed it. I'm sure we'll be back to see them play again in the future. Like I've said a few times on this site. I'm glad to have the af2 and IFL in Houston. No reason I can't enjoy both. I encourage the people of Houston to get out and support both of it's indoor/arena teams.

We listened to the first half of the game on our way to Lake Charlse.... Corpus seemed to be in control the whole way through. I was told in Lake chralse , from a source that was at the game in katy that the attendance was just over 1000, and they had predicted a sell out...Not sure what on with that... Wallace played for the Copperheads last season i do believe and was one of their most exciting players, returns alot of kicks for td's.... Higgs.... what can i say... he has always been heavy... He always seems to win though... finds a way...BUT, you can count on him to throw meaningful int's that costs his team games also....
Cant wait to get over there and see a game... This is going to be a fun season of football!!!!!
