Congrats to Vermont and the whole organization ! Great Fan support.
Now Alex is on the clock. There is NO way he can say " I just want to play basketball" now. He knows about Joe, what Joe has done to people. If he wants to keep credibility as a journalist and as an owner he has to leave this travisty behind him.
I will be looking for a statement from ALex soon. The longer he remains silent it will show he approves of Joe and his tactics. No way out of it.
I will not be the only judge, there are sports writers and basketball fans out there that know what the right thing to do is.
The sports writers I have talked to have cut him slack but all said the same thing, lets see what he does after the season. My guess is...he will turn the team over to the community or someone else, his one year SI assignment is over and he saves face. Him staying involved in this scam league will pull him down. Today is day 1....the clock is ticking

I definitely agree with you, TR. A1 has a history of writing extremely stupid posts that really try to boast what an awesome guy and an "insider" he is in regards to minor league basketball.
It's hilarious how he thinks he gets to judge Alex.
Just ignore him. He'll stop his rants and his "beat his chest" bragging when no one ends up paying any attention to the lunatic.

Truth is, once their seasons end, everyone in minor league basketball is on the clock. There's just too much chaos right now, and things have to change. Now I don't necessarily expect a flurry of moves in the next few days, but I anticipate good owners will look at their options. I certainly consider Mr. Wolff to be a good owner. Still, just because they're "on the clock," I don't expect any announcements until all the t's are crossed and i's dotted. It could be weeks or months until everything shakes out, even for owners disgusted with some of what happened this year. These guys have a lot at stake, and while I think they'll look at their options, I don't believe they'll hurry into anything.

From today's Times Argus newspaper, in an article titled "Heaves owner looks to the future".
" Obviously there are frustrations with the play off structure and games going off predictably" Wolff said. " But we are the ABA champions and we are committed to defending the title."

(quoting Alexander Wolff) "But we are the ABA champions and we are committed to defending the title."
Which is exactly what he should say until the day he firms up plans to do something else.
Why would he cut off the ABA option until he absolutely had to? That would be bad business.
That quote will mean nothing in the long term. If Wolff does take the Frost Heaves to another league, he can say that "at the time, we were committed". And if Vermont stays in the ABA, he's simply supporting his league.
It's what Wolff says in October that counts, not March.

when someone is doing something wrong and you know it, do you just ignore it?
Alex knows very well this is a sham of a league and Joe took money from people and lies continuously. How much more needs to be shown to him to make the move to get out? Whats he waiting for? the SEC to start an investigation? Then he can say Based on what I have just learned It would be better for Vermont to seek out other leagues" Thats too late. You have the facts now. Be responsible to your fellow man !!! Do the right thing.
His statement is BS. I guess he will be at the owners meeting speaking on how to do it right, while Joe smiles in the backround.
Day 2 and counting.
