At the time of this post ,there aren't any articles
posted on Oursportscentral which pertain to the game.
An article in the Billings Gazette also says
"...an estimated crowd of 4,000."
my 2 cents
The UIF website should have already been updated
with the complete box score (the `deuche' website
would've been updated last night ) send in those
UIF polls and let them know. I guess.:)
also from the article...
"...the UIF is a higher level of indoor football".
don't we know it ?

This game is proof positive that UIF is an entirely different league that the one the Outlaws left. IMO, Billings will be more than okay, but it won't be a cakewalk this year.

Preeths with all due respect, that was not last years Outlaws either...
You can not take anything away from the 06 Outlaws... Rapid, Rage, Tri Cities and maybe even Casper (OK I am being kind this AM) were all UIF caliber teams and then something.
Last years Outlaws was a team of talented veterans... made it look easy at times. But hard faught battles in key games against quality opponents is what got them to and winning a championship.
Now the Bozemans, Lincolns, etc, that is another story.... garbage no matter what league you play in. Biggest differnce is the UIF just would not allow it to get to that.
Your right, they will be OK, but they have a ways to go to match last years team.
Sorry, just dont want everyone looking at 06 as a cake walk, it truly wasn't... at least not from what I saw.....
Should be fun.....

I couldn't agree more.
What with River City gaining 3 wins by forfiet
and another 3 via major blow out vs replacement
teams last season, and Billings having Big Sky to coast past.
The free rides are over.(no disrespect)

The Outlaws/Ice game was simply decided by kickers. Kickers. The Outlaws ended last year with a very strong kicking game that pulled out some close games they could have lost. This year, kickers were a 14-point difference against the Ice. 4 long field goals for Colorado, 2 key missed extra points for the Outlaws - in a one-point win for Colorado. Give that Ice kicker some serious love...

The game should never come down to blaming the kicking game for losing, 25 points, end of discussion. Obviously the defense did their job, giving up only 26. Has the offense been practicing? Someone should research (Yellowstone you on it?), is this the least amount scored by a Billings org?

Our offense will gel, it's the first game of the season. But we couldn't even TRY field goals for points against the Ice when we needed it most. That is a huge difference from last year when Blewitt was an enormous weapon down the stretch. I am WAY more concerned about our kicking game than our offense. Now we HAVE to go for 2 after every touchdown. Rapid City got stung by that against us last year. I sure hope we find a kicker...

Lowest score for the Billings orginization was in the 2004 Pac Conf title game in Sioux Falls. The Danny Ragsdale led Outlaws managed only 13 points in the 44-13 loss to the Storm. Sioux Falls went on to lose to Lexington in the title game.
The offense did seem to be out of sync the entire night vs.Colorado. No excuses here, the Ice D played well enough to win the game. Give the new Outlaws some time to adjust to the indoor game and they'll be ok.
Sioux Falls is going to come in here Sat night and put a whoopin' on Billings I'm sorry to say.

Yellowstone, nice to see you! It's been so long since I knew if anything was true, what without you telling me. :) Congrats on the UIF move for Billings.
With RC out of the sport, I'm a Storm fan from afar. I follow the AFL down here in AZ, but I'll always be a fan of the old-school IFL teams. Except Sioux City. They suck. :)

Thanks Yelloestone, I guess our offense isn't as bad as I thought. I know we will get it right. This is going to be a tough week to get it right though.

The new Outlaws r no way in comparison with the 06 team, no Joey Longoria 15 ints, and coach on field. No Rod Kelly to intimidate and dominate, no Ali Culpepper, who was replaced by Simmons a Casper reject, no Robert Reed, who was replaced by Quinn Grow, Jason Grow whatever his name, da dream season is over, back to reality, and no Dan Austin da brain behind that dream season, who assembled the 06 team from top to bottom , (Coaches, players, Ballboys, etc.) Snap out of it Dream is over.

Yellowstone, shame on you! Don't roll over now, we're just getting started! This next game will be a MUCH better gauge for our team. We will be the underdog at home for the first time since we were the Mavericks. I look for the Outlaws to give Sioux Falls a great fight. We can win this game. I'm hoping the last game against the Ice gave them a little humility after the Championship run last year when we dominated everybody. Look for an attitude this game.
