The UIF is going to be pretty solid top-to-bottom.
And just so you know, incase you're caught off guard in Evansville, they play on a 40-yard field, rather than 50 due to the size constraints of their venue. It is marked as 40, with 20 as being midfield.

Well the Rage have a challenge in this league. Gone are things that were part of the NIFL, like forfitted games and 100-0 blowouts against replacement teams.
It's because of this that I'm really looking forward to this season. I'm anxious to see the high level of play all throughout the year.
Sadly however my plans changed and I will not be there at the Rage home opener on March 31st. I'm going to try to go to the second home game though.
I look forward to hearing the radio broadcast of the game on Saturday night. It's too bad I don't have Charter so can watch the game on their channel 20. Man, I wish a normal channel would carry these games, but I guess I'm just asking for too much.
Go Rage!

Ya the team knows about the field... How they get away with that is beyond me... Must be grandfathered in huh???
The team coaches said they have been practicing this week with the crazy field in mind.
The team comes into this league with no illusions, they know no game will be a cake walk.. They said all they can do is play ball like they know they can. These teams this year are all good and should make for some great football. I know some games last year were real zzzzzzzzzzz but the fans should be seeing some exciting football all 4 quarters.
Good Luck to the UIF teams!!!!!!

Bottom line, most of the teams in the UIF came from the same place that the Rage & Outlaws are coming from. I'm sure they can make the same necessary adjustments to compete in the UIF. Neither of these organizations are mickey mouse football clubs. They were the last of the remaining "cream of the crop" from the NIFL. I think they'll do well in the UIF.

There's still some cream in the NIFL: Wyoming, Fayetteville and San Diego, I believe, are all credible organizations. Maybe the Marshals, too, though we'll see more about that tomorrow night. Unfortunately, they are now outnumbered nearly seven-to-one by teams that don't have turf, uniforms or equipment when the season has already started.

You make a good point. However, we'll have to wait and see just how credible these teams are after the season ends and the dust settles, if they're still standing and can be salvaged by another league after the damage has been done. Truth is even the credible, legitimate teams will suffer a great deal of damage if/when they end up having to cancel games and refund ticket & sponsorship money. Not only will their reputations be damaged, but their financial situations as well. When the UIF teams were in the NIFL, the credible teams were in the vast majority. Even last season, when the Rage and Outlaws were in the NIFL, the number of legitimate franchises out numbered the non-legitimate ones for the most part.

It is going to be an uphill battle for the good organizations, that's for sure. The challenge really starts next week when Wyoming and San Diego are visited by league-owned expansion teams.

According to the UIF website, it was River City over Evansville 40-37. Looks like it was a close score. I sadly missed out on the entire radio broadcast. Can anyone that was at the game tell me the highlights, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks
Go Rage!

Over on another site, they said that the Rage kicked a field goal to win it.
In Wheeling, the Greyhounds lost 44-37 after having it tied 30-30 at the half. Second half saw two straight Horsemen TDs and then after 44-37, ran out the clock on a sustained drive.

I was at the Raptors game.
Had a great time. Sioux Falls has about the best
D-line ever assembled in this league IMHO.
They really brought pressure.
SFs "O" was clicking early while RRs wasn't
and Rockford was in a hole early.
The crowd was into it and really rocked.
RR showed signs of brilliance late in the
second quarter and continued to battle back
in the second half closing it to within a score late.
But a late SF field goal was the clincher
& in the end it was Sioux Falls 44-34.
Did I mention I had a great time ? :D

The Rage Blue Cats game was a classic. The Rage won on a long field goal with one second left on the clock. The last two and a half minutes were so full of action, I cannot even remember what order it happened and I was there. The Rage scored on a great run by Muhammed abdulquadir. The Blue cats QB, who was very good all game, somehow escaped a safety with two Rage defenders collapsing on him in that short end zone, and then threw a pass the length of the field for one of the greatest receptions I have ever seen. The Blue Cats took the lead. The Rage cmae back and tied the game. The Blue Cats drove and then miseed a field goal attempt (one of many). The Rage downed the kick return to set up the game winner with 1.4 seconds on the clock. It was CRAZY! The UIF is going to be GREAT!
