..coach Chris Daleo of the Minot Sky Rockets said that the Sky Rockets will be back for another season, but he was not sure on his situation yet.

Neither is Micheal Ray, and there was a story in the Albany Times-Union yesterday that Daleo was contacted regarding coaching the Patroons USBL team in the spring, and he didn't deny interest.

I think if Daleo came for the spring, he also would be hired for the winter CBA team.

Then Micheal Ray might go to Montana, where he went to college, and coach Great Falls. Despite his outbursts, Micheal is active in the community and I understand spent a week making the rounds at the All-Star Game in Butte.

That would leave Minot in the market for a coach, preferably someone with some ties to the Dakotas. Any ideas?

in the Albany paper, about Minot head coach Chris Daleo possibly going to the Patroons. But I did not hear about Richardson going to Minot. But it would make sense, the teams exchanging coaches.
In the meantime, the Xplosion will be a better team with Jackson returning.

..mentioned Great Falls for Micheal Ray, not Minot.

I'll note here that Butte and Minot have announced that they are returning for next season. Nothing official from Great Falls, but I am guessing they'll be back too.

There was a NY TIMES article weeks ago about the salvation of MR Rich's career. The article mentioned his family lives in France and he wouldnt be opposed to coaching in Europe. Or even taking a scouting Job in the NBA to get back in. So I dont know what interest he would have in coaching in Montana. His wife and kids being in Europe and all.

You know... CBA playoff champion coach looks REAL NICE on a resume... no matter which league that resume appears in.

I heard that Daleo was going to Great Falls, Mike Ray was going to Butte (per request of ownership), and the Butte coach is going to Minot. That is a shuffle. The Director of Basketball Operations Young is being let go along with Eggers. League Operations Director Dennis Truax will be coaching in Albany

This a very intersting article (costs 4.95) published feb 7. It doesnt sound like a guy who wants to coach in the CBA much longer.

He won't be coaching in Albany, that much I know. What coaching experience does he have?

Derrick Rowland would certainly be coaching the team before Traux.

Shuffling Daleo to Great Falls doesn't make a lot of sense either. Having Micheal Ray in Butte does.

Regarding Micheal Ray, of course he's trying to get to the NBA. We'd all like better jobs, but you take the best available at the time.
