I didn't see anything in the newspaper or on the Rage web site regarding the outcome of last nights exhibition game for the Rage. I am sure that the Rage totally dominated their semi-pro opposition and their were a lot of tickets sold for an exhibition game. but I just wanted to hear how things went.

The Rage made a great debut with a win over the NE Missouri Wildcats 51-9.
The Rage DFense is overwhelmingly fast. Held the wildcats to less than 20 yards rushing and 50 yards passing. The Offense needs to tighten up a bit but they started to come together in the second half. They show cased a lot of players in a lot of postions to get a feel for who will make final cuts. They played in front of over 2000 fans and are expecting over 6000 opening night March 31st.

I'll believe it when I see it when I attend on March 31st. I'm also hoping to bring some friends with me that went with me last year.
Have the Rage had any games last year that were about 6000? I only went to three games last year so I was wondering.
My prediction will be 4000, and if that happens I'll be happy.
Go Rage!!
-By the way I came to this message board just hoping that someone would post the score to that preseason game and I'm happy that someone did. Hopefully the Rage website will update soon with the score-

Since it was a pre season game and has no meaning for the season i doubt they post it. But maybe they will. Good to see other Rage Fans. As for the attendance, who knows what they will get but i can tell you a lot more people know who the Rage are this year so i hope they get more fans in the seats.. Spread the word...

WILDCATS vs RIVER CITY RAGE INDOOR FOOTBALL
The Northeast Missouri Wildcats put on a great show but lost the victory to the River City Rage indoor football team, 51-9, during a televised exhibition game at the St.Charles Family Arena Saturday Night.
The Wildcats, who normally play eleven man outdoor football for the Minor League Football Association, agreed to play the Rage to help both teams prepare for their upcoming seasons. "This was a great opportunity to get some recognition for our players and organization," said Wildcats owner Mary Rocha.
However, the game did not start well for the Wildcats. After winning the coin toss, Cats returner Claude Viverette fumbled the opening kickoff in the end zone assisting the Rage to an early 7-0 lead. The Wildcats got on board late in the first quarter when kicker Carter Rethwisch made a 27 yard field goal to cut the Rage lead 20-3.
Defensive back Marlon Brown intercepted a pass helping his offensive regain control of the ball. This time the Wildcats cashed in when quarterback Kenny King hit receiver Joe Buie on a 30 yard touchdown pass trimming the Rage lead 23-9 early in the second quarter.
The Wildcats special teams caused problems throughout the night and handed the Rage a total of 16 points with a returned field goal and two safeties. "We did not have a chance to work on special teams because of the length of time we had to practice," Said Robertson.
Defensively, The Cats proved their abilities holding the Rage's high powered offense to a total of 196 yards. "I thought we played well considering we only had four hours of indoor practices and were still learning the rules during the game," Said head coach Troy Robertson. The Defense was led by defensive back Jamez Foster with 6 tackles and one forced fumble. Following Foster came DB Cerone Colvin with 6 tackles, DB Nathan Storey, 5 tackles, and DB Marlon Brown
with one interception.
Despite the loss, Coach Robertson thought it was a great experience for his players, "No one got hurt and everyone got to play. I never like to lose but these guys gave a great effort tonight."
The Wildcats open their season May 19th, 7pm at CBC against the St. Louis Bulldogs.

Can the Rage pick up where they left off last season? If this game was an indicator, it might be more difficult than they think.

Wow you managed to not talk about the Rage at all...
I think a little credit needs to go to the Rage we did win after all . As for are we ready, keep hoping we fail and we will prove you wrong every time. Most of the starters did not play the whole game due to the coach needing to see players in action before final cuts so you did not see the Rage who will be starting the 31st. Chinn was not even at the game due to a tryout.
No one was hurt??? WRONG!!! Cheap shot were everywhere toward the end and the refs were considering calling the game due to the conduct of some players. It was not worth guys getting hurt when the game did not matter.
But the funniest thing was them saying lets see them beat us playing real football... Come on guys.. These are D1 players who also have NFL experience. Do you really want to take them on on a field the dominated before turning to the indoor game... I say bring it on. These guys are not guys who rolled off the couch one day and said i think i will play indoor football these guys are REAL athletes..
