HOW do you determine third round locations without the second round games having been played?

I was under the impression that the higher seeded teams would host the game. Do we know for certain that Vermont and Rochester are going to defeat their opponents.

Why is there a week long gap between the second round game in Rochester and then the third round game in Rochester? Only three days between the two Vermont games, and the winner has to fly from the west coast.

Uh - seeds 1-8 received byes to the second round, so I'm not sure what the point of this thread is.

What happened to the first round? The last I read, there was only one game played and many teams were bypassing the playoffs because of this planned format. The way this is going, I'm not sure there are going to be teams around for the third round.

Vermont and Rochester only have teams seeded lower than them in their respective brackets - therefore, Vermont and Rochester automaticaly get home games because no team playing against them would have a higher seed.

win the second round games, don't they? it could and has happened that a lower seed has beat a higher seed.

I think Joe was just looking ahead and presuming victories.
