columbia?

anyone have any new info on the team? whats happening? most of you guys seem to know alot (or at least think you do!)......i had a tough time reaching anyone today in columbia....when i did i found out that they don't even have turf yet?!! what? no turf? i think someone on here said that might create a problem....the game is saturday....no turf? as i said, i have my doubts and opinions...i will support this team though (players from charleston mainly) and hope to see things work.....maybe they can paint the concrete green and still play if turf does'nt arrive! just joking! that was terrible to say in what i think is a crisis.....go stingers!

Last year in the now AIFA there were teams that had their turf come up the night before the game and had the players roll it out and install it. There were even reports that some teams got their equipment for the first time at their pregame meal. That's cutting it close. Hopefully that won't be the case in Columbia.

last season i saw monroe players seeing what jersey fit them pregame and loved the duct tape on the field to connect but my favorite was watching them build a 2x4 wooden cage to keep the drunk cajuns from falling onto the field it was a classic -- i even have pics -- wrote story on my adventures last year for local katy paper -- i will pray for the stingers
