Props to the Colorado Eagles for clinching yet another Division Championships.
The Fort Collins, Colorado club has the best, most loyal fans in minor league hockey not too mention the best radio broadcaster in all of minor league hockey!

it must be true. However, AA hockey is not a real defined group like say Double-AA baseball.
Colorado isn't even No. 1 in their own league in attendance. They rank fifth, so I'm not so sure about the loyalty thing either.
But hey ... it's a free country.

The barn in Loveland / Fort Collins / whomever owns that land by I-25 isn't that big a building. I haven't seen this year's numbers, but I wonder if the Eagles have ever failed to sell so much as one seat.
AA hockey? That's another matter.
They may be only fifth in attendance in the CHL, but they do sell out game after game. The facility is only so big. They do have a loyal following. Follow the team closely and you can see it. And I say this as someone who lives far from Colorado and who is in no way a fan of the team.

Just because they sell out their arena, doesn't mean they have a great fans. Let's see when you have a losing team in Colorado, then we will see the support your team gets.
You can say the same about the team in Austin, TX - they sell out their arena too (though only 1,900 cap.).
Colorado does have good ownership and they thought this thing through. But they are many franchises that have stood the test of time. Wait until the Eagles have been around 15-20 years then we can talk.
And I douby that the arena has been full for every game. I'm sure the amount is tickets sold. With the snow in Colorado, can't see them getting the arena full every night.

Well i just moved out here from the east coast and we had a SPHL team in town. I know the Eagles put on a good show on and off the ice. I think a lot of teams around could learn alot about how to run a team if they took a look at this team. I mean yeah they don't have a super big arena but they have sold it out every game.

No one is saying they don't put on a good show.
This is the statement in question that derived the discussion:
The Fort Collins, Colorado club has the best, most loyal fans in minor league hockey not too mention the best radio broadcaster in all of minor league hockey!
If the broadcaster is good then we can expect him to be in the big leagues next year. Right?

Well he is going to be the guy for the Rockies this year a MLB team. I think that should say a little something for the guy. I don't know the guy but to make that move seems to me he is oing in the right direction

One comment: You don't know loyalty until you team loses game after game, season after season. ie: Pensacola Ice Pilots fans like myself who still go to the games.

You were actually talking about the Fort Wayne Komets. I'm willing to listen to the vast history of Fort Collin's hockey, though. Do you guys have a brochure or somethin'?
