Basically, everyone is scared to play the Buffalo Silverbacks. Quebec won't play here but is willing to travel to Strong Island. That would mean Cape Cod would come to Buffalo instead of going to Strong Island. The league was willing to pay for Cape Cod's travel expenses to come to Buffalo. Cape Cod also refused to travel to Buffalo, seemingly because they want to stomp on Strong Island instead of getting stomped by the 'backs.

After looking at the bracket Vermont also had a problem with it. They think that since they're the #1 team they shouldn't have to play Buffalo in the 2nd round (as it would have originally worked out).

So, the verdict is in. Buffalo will have a bye for the first round of the playoffs and then travel to Jacksonville for a 2nd round game against the Jam.

Sorry Buffalo fans, no home playoff game.

Where did you get the idea VT didn't want to play Buffalo?

Such bull****.

So is Quebec City knocked out of the playoffs for their trouble?

Becasue they complained to the league office about a possible match-up with Buffalo, which is part of the reason Buffalo now has a bye. However, I think now Vermont, Rochester, and Arkansas are all on the same side of the bracket so only one of those 3 teams could possibly be in the championship game.

Unless of course they shift everything around again once the games are played. Which I wouldn't put past them.

I'm not sure what time, but at this point the plan is to play Jacksonville on Friday.
