I have a question... an extension of previous research I've done on Olympic Games sites.
I've paid some interest to the Texas Copperheads' discussions and eventual move to the Berry Center from the Merrill Center... which both appear to be owned by school districts. I got further caught in this yesterday when the Southland Conference basketball championship game was played in the Campbell Center, apparently another "ISD" facility.
How do these get built? Are these all "central" school district sports facilities? How many of them are there around Houston?
I just find this fascinating... and if we weren't talking about Chicago and Los Angeles, I'd really be wondering why Houston isn't still in the Olympic bid chase for 2016.
