View Full Version : AHL Cities
What AHL Cities (or ECHL for that matter) are capable of getting a NHL team either now or in the next 5 years, disreguarding the looming strike. Are there any cities that could support an NHL team?

Philadelphia, Chicago & Toronto already have NHL teams.
Worchester is a suburb of Boston. Cleveland failed with the Barons back in the 70s. Hartford was the home of the Whalers until they moved to Carolina.
Houston is rumored as a resting place of the Pittsburgh Penguins and is the best market for an NHL team.
Hamilton, ON, was an expansion nominee back in the 90s.
Cincinnati won't support a high-priced team.
San Antonio & Salt Lake are remote possibilities.
