Jacksonville hjas been announced as the home of franchise #21. Trying Florida is not something new for this ABA or the original. What is new that this league promised 20 teams for next season and is now at 21 with the possibility of more to come. If all 21 (or more) tip off next season that would be the first time I recall that the ABA has delivered more than promised.

It is noteworthy that in many cases teams, venues, names, coaches, and offices are in place in April for next season. Another ABA first.

Those named in releases about new franchises may be banging heads against something, but I am just observing. I am focused on other business interests.

Ah yes, the one-season Tampa Bay ThunderDawgs and the "phantom" Jacksonville Jackals.

Twenty teams in the ABA is scary. With Mcfranchises springing up at $ 5 each, maybe there will 50 teams by next season in the Almost Basketball Association.
