I can understand Albany head coach Michael Ray Richardson's competitiveness in wanting his team to make the playoffs home court advantage. But I don't really like the way he takes out his frustrations on the court. I also dislike how he shortchanges the Xplosion, saying that his team gave us too many breaks. I've never read a quote saying that he actually felt the X have improved, which I've read other coaches have acknowledged. He seems to act like our 5 wins are just a fluke. We earned them!

.. I am guessing if the USBL season goes OK, Derrick Rowland will be the coach next year in Albany. It's a perfect 30-game audition.
When he cut Lucious Jordan for the second time, he told the Albany Times-Union he was lazy. The problem was Lucious is a UAlbany grad, and a lot of people got upset. The thing was, there was no good reason to call out Lucious even if it was true.
A few days later, the Patroons got a couple injuries, and Derrick Rowland was sent to ask Lucious to come back. Not surprisingly, he wasn't interested.
Attendance seemed to slip after that incident too.
Is upset with Richardson, as I read, because your coach traded Eric Williams here without his consent, even though Richardson and your owner are good friends off the court. Williams has been doing well for us, though. I hope we have at least most of this team back next year.

hey psbf. Congrats on your win over the AlleyCats last night. You guys are definitly not the same team you were at the begining of the season. you guys have made some great additions to your club and are playing much better ball of late. Unfortunatly we are going the other direction. The Cats were on a serious roll until loosing Sullinger and Barkley to teams overseas. I usually pull for you guys, except when you play the Cats. After all we have on thing in common. We survived playing in the ABA and escaped that disaster of a league. I hope both franchises finish strong and build on something for next year and that the move to the CBA was a good move in the long run.:)
Thanks, Indy. It has been a long struggle, but I was a bit elated about finally beating the Cats, who have a good team. They played us aggressively all night. I'm sorry to hear that they have a losing streak but I agree that we have things in common in changing leagues for the better.
Unfortunately, half of our turnout left after regulation. I feel glad that I stayed for the end.
Since Former Piranhas player Jaren Jackson has been hired, the Xplosion have improved and I'm glad to have seen it in person. Many of the players that he acquired played for him when Gary was in this league. I'm hopefull that they will all return, if not most of them and continue what they are doing now.
I envy you that the Alley Cats will be in the playoffs. For us, we have to enjoy the games until the end of the season then wait for next year. But we appreciate your following the Xplosion. I have seen our team get more involved with our schools which helps also. Turnouts are slowly growing. Good luck to the Alley Cats, I hope they can find wins(except against us) before the playoffs start.
