VERMONT EDGES OUT ARKANSAS AND TEXAS FOR #1 SPOT IN ABA POWER RANKINGS
26-Feb-2007
Indianapolis, IN -- The American Basketball Association released its Power Rankings through Saturday, February 24th - and in spite of a loss, the Vermont Frost Heaves narrowly edged out the powerful Arkansas Aeros and Texas Tycoons for the number one spot.
According to Brad Hester, ABA VP of Team Operations, "This next week should be a dandy as the league draws to a close and teams position themselves for the playoff run. There are only 24 playoff positions and there are 30 teams with a chance to make it. Every game counts - and you know that it will be a very competitive week."

IMO, Gallup and Palm Beach should drop out of the Top 24 ...
Cape Cod and Maywood on the bubble ...
Atlanta, Orlando, King County and Brooklyn should be in contention for a spot ... but not Tennessee or St. Louis.
