Anyone know what they are trying to sell these things for these days?
Just curious.
My guess is that they are close to free with a letter of credit.
Not trying to buy one, just wondering what the new management of the CBA was trying to get for them.

of the Vancouver Dragons, before he had these three potential teams, said it was $125,000 to start up.
Heres the link (http://www.oursportscentral.com/services/releases/?id=3182367)...You dont have to read the whole thing, but it does talk about it a little.

..for a startup franchise out of the box like Utah was.
I think the CBA gave the ABA teams a break because they were existing franchises. The D-League did the same with the existing CBA teams that transferred there last season.
The comments from Tuckman that the franchise fees simply pass through to the owners (and are not retained by the league) is relevant because it means Yakama and Albany must have gotten quite a bit of cash for this season.
Tuckman's anger at posting a letter of credit was funny, given that is the reason so many ABA teams go broke. Joe gives them a song and dance about franchises that are closeby, the ability to get gate receipts, and "put the money directly into their franchises." The result is undercapitalized owners who fall like the wind at the first sign of trouble.
I think, was the right one by the Xplosion given by what I've heard about the CBA, in comparison to the ABA. Regardless of our slow start and lack of fan support in the beginning, I feel that things are beginning to grow. Who knows how long the X would have lasted in the ABA, but they have changed ownerships and I see improvement, even though this league is more expensive the benefit is greater. In the ABA the goal is non-existant. The goal here is the NBA.
