Did anybody see the ABA All-star game. I want some opinions on who was actually the best player there. I hear that the guy who won MVP (Billy Knight) should not have gotten it and that there was someone better on the West Team. Who knows?

Obviously you do because you keep posting here.

Donnie Beecham had 22 points for the West and Jamel Staten was impressive despite arriving after halftime.

For the East, the gunners from VT were off all game. Sanders, the slam dunk runner up to Beecham, scored 21 and hauled down 10 rebounds. The big man from Wilmington, McGinnis was solid. Drew Washington (MD) and Gregory Plummer (SI) were also effective.

Robert Martin of the Atlanta Vision had 19 points off the bench.

All I know is that there were several players selected who chose not to go.

Jamal Staten arrived after halftime? WT#@$%^. !!! Did he sleep in? Hung over? Missed the team bus? Locusts invaded the train station? Sorry that is the craziest sport news item I have ever heard or read!

He is doing fantastic. I presume you watched him in Vermont. We are very fortunate to have him. He works at our venue, the Suwanee Center, as an instructor in their elite On-Court program for kids 8-18.

He is quick, very agile under the basket, and has a great shot. A D-League team I think would be very fortunate to add him.

I give him a hard time because he's always wearing a FrostHeaves sweatshirt. He says that he's waiting for management to provide him a Vison sweatshirt but in Atlanta, they would not sell that well.

Good luck to the Heaves...hope we get to see you guys in the playoffs. We have 4 games left with Wilmington. Our record is 11-15 after a 3-11 start. Kevin has a lot to do with our rebound as well as Lorenzo Lawrence formerly of Jacksonville.
