View Full Version : This is what is going on with the NEWARK EXPRESS
ABA06er

My name is Amin Wright. I am looking forward to trying out and joining the ****** this coming season. In the meantime, I will be joining the Yelwa Hawks of Lagos Nigeria. I had a horrible experience with the ABA this season and was fortunate enough to have a strong basketball resume to get out of that situation. I was a member of the Newark Express, who are hanging on fro dear life as far as talent goes. At the most, practice would consist of 5-8 players and many times would have to be canceled because we didn't have 5 players.
The record speaks for itself as the team struggles to win 5 games compared to falling in the playoffs to the eventual champs of Rochester. This season has been a waste of time as we played for the most part without a head coach and under the inexperienced coaching of the owners, that team may never reach 4 wins this season. Having no contracts and paying players 40 dollars a game definitely won't get a team a victory either. Players make more playing street ball in the summer time than that!!! I think the majority of the team took that as an insult of all their hard work and personal integrity, as well as a professional. Therefore the record speaks for itself.
Other than that, everything seems to be going well since I left that organization. With you being a team will give me a second chance at life to become a real professional basketball player in the US.
Having that moment look at the schedule and seeing the Newark Express on any date, anywhere, will also be refreshing.
hope to hear from you very soon!

Okay, unsourced news is one thing. Fraud is completely another.

He is listed on the Express roster (#3), but he does not appear in the Frost Heaves vs Express box score from 12-21. #3 in that game was Marvin McCullough. The Express also had 10 players in uniform when they visited Barre last Saturday night as well. This must be very old news.

Well it did say he was going to play in Nigeria. If this is legit, I hope the guy didn't respond to one of those spam emails that guarantee him millions if he gives his bank account and credit card numbers.

I'm insulted that he thinks we're stupid enough to believe this garbage.

And why would Tom - sorry, ABA06er - be talking badly about Newark? Are they also involved in the 'coup' attempt with Rochester?
Maybe Newark will make the playoffs in place of Rochester in ABA06er's alternate reality ABA...

There is no Amin Wright listed on the USbasket roster for the Yelma Hawks.
Translation of what Tom just said
My name is Amin Wright.
My name is Tom Chicester.
I am looking forward to trying out and joining the ****** this coming season.
I am looking forward to getting fired by Doyle because he knows I suck at being a ref.
In the meantime, I will be joining the Yelwa Hawks of Lagos Nigeria.
In the meantime, I will try to pull the wool over everyone's eyes and make them think I play basketball in Nigeria.
I had a horrible experience with the ABA this season and was fortunate enough to have a strong basketball resume to get out of that situation.
I had a horrible experience with an ABA owner this season and was fortunate enough to be best buddies the ABA CEO to get out of it.
I was a member of the Newark Express, who are hanging on fro dear life as far as talent goes.
I was ref in a Newark game, and I am hanging on for dear life as far refereeing talent goes.
At the most, practice would consist of 5-8 players and many times would have to be canceled because we didn't have 5 players.
At the most, I would make 5-8 correct calls in a game, and many times I would go home crying because I didn't make 5 good calls.
The record speaks for itself as the team struggles to win 5 games compared to falling in the playoffs to the eventual champs of Rochester.
The record speaks for itself as I fix 5 games a month for Rochester and every one else will fall in the playoffs to Rochester as long as I officiate.
This season has been a waste of time as we played for the most part without a head coach and under the inexperienced coaching of the owners, that team may never reach 4 wins this season.
This season has been a complete waste of time as Rochester isn't number one and everyone else is having to deal with the inexperienced officiating by me. I may never reach 4 correct calls this season.
Having no contracts and paying players 40 dollars a game definitely won't get a team a victory either.
Having me as a ref and not bribing me 40 dollars a game definitely won't get a team a victory either.
Players make more playing street ball in the summer time than that!!!
Players have better refs in streetball in the summer than me!!!!
I think the majority of the team took that as an insult of all their hard work and personal integrity, as well as a professional. Therefore the record speaks for itself.
I think that I will take it as an insult that all of my bad officiating and stupid internet posts didn't even get me a bribe to throw the game for someone.
Other than that, everything seems to be going well since I left that organization.
Other than that, everything will go well as soon as I leave the ABA with Joe. With you being a team will give me a second chance at life to become a real professional basketball player in the US.
With Joe being a CEO, I have a shot at showing off my horrible refereeing to all.
Having that moment look at the schedule and seeing the Newark Express on any date, anywhere, will also be refreshing.
hope to hear from you very soon!
Looking at the schedule and seeing Rochester won is refreshing.
Hope you all shut up soon!

Heaves---
Please do not associate a fine franchise like Rochester with that scum Chichester again. When Rochester lost by 2 at VT who was the lead official? Yep TC. How about at Detroit by 2 at the buzzer? You got it, TC. So please....

TC has officiated 3 Vermont games. @Buffalo, @Montreal, and vs. Bellingham. No Rochester. Who was the ref at the game in which Rochester won incredibly over Cape Cod? TC. Who has officiated over half Rochester's home games? TC.
Not taking anything away from Rochester, just making a point.

As an FYI, Rochester will be playing at Newark tomorrow:
The Rochester RazorSharks regularly scheduled game at Newark on Saturday, March 3, which was originally postponed, has been reinstated by the American Basketball Association. The RazorSharks are confident that league requirements will be met for the game on Saturday.

TC lives in Rochester, so the fact he refs a good portion of the games shouldn't be a surprise. But, given the current league politics, it's a stretch to say he's really pulling for Rochester in any way.
