Leonard White, a key member of last year's championship team practiced with the team Monday morning. White will play Monday night.
Sun Kings head coach Paul Woolpert said ex-Sun King Pig Miller has contacted the team and expressed interest in returning. Miller also played on last year's team.
Does anyone think this is not far. I'm sorry, but if I was on the team and worked my ass off to get Yakama were it is today, and then have some returners come back and take my spot on the court, just so they can get another championship ring, I'd be pissed.
Is my thinking wrong? You can only have a certain number on a roster right? (I could be wrong) To have someone come in and take your spot with 2 or so months left would piss me off.

Yakima lost Ben Ebong and never replaced the allstar foward, saving the spot for Leonard White. Its a business and getting deep in the playoffs and drawing big crowds will be best served with the best players. Chris Webber took somebodys spot on the Pistons. If you play well Pig wont take your spot.

Your right, if you do play well, you should stay and it looks like Pig hasnt joined the team.
I did not know about the whole ben thing, I thought they got someone to replace, but apparently I assumed wrong.

The Patroons first brought back Chris Sockwell, and then Carl Mitchell. I am sure if Edmund Saunders or James Thomas became available, they would be back in Albany too.
It's a business, and that is one advantage established teams have, knowing what talent might return as the European leagues wind down.
I wonder if the Patroons will have a playoff game on April 3, the night of the USBL draft.

Agreed. Being Fair has nothing to do with it. To run a professional team is to run a business. It would be a good idea for all the playoff bound teams to strengthen their lineups for that matter.
If the Patroons have a road playoff game on April 3 the night of the USBL draft, then Albany can combine their draft party with audio streaming at a sports bar. The USBL Patroons and CBA Patroons have different coaches, right? If the Patroons have a home playoff game on April 3, then the game itself can be one big draft party. Members of the dance team can walk through the crowd with big cards displaying the draft choices.
Panchess, please see that I receive my usual stipend if my party ideas are used. 8)

Where did that rumor surface from, I have never heard a word of it. I am a S-King season ticketholder and there never has been a word of it in print, in this area. I hope for it, as I have seen the play in CBA go backwards. Although I have been very critical of the play , it has improved. The names may be less recognizable but there are some ballers. How about MAtt Leinert look a like Nick Vanderlaan, He is putting up some impressive numbers and has been mentionaed as a NBA callup. How come there is so little talk about the play on the court, as opposed to the financial situation the league will face until the end of time.
