Is this league crazy or what?

OK, so I am a little biased when it comes to now, just the one Arkansas team, but this stuff is just plain loco. Hence:

(1) Aeros #2 last week, go 2-0 for the week and still #2 despite #1 Vemont losing and still staying #1. Nobody jumping over them to get to #1, just Vermont losing. Vermont rewarded for beating Bellingham twice but not being punished for losing to Buffalo;

(2) OK Buffalo, they were #18 last week, BIG WIN over #1 and they move up four spots to #14. OK, if a team gets 'rewarded' (see Vermont), that win was only good enough to move up four spots?;

(3) The Tycoons stay #3 but apparently do not want to go play the Aeros because their little feelings were hurt because the Rivercats didn't come play them. Right or wrong about the Rivercat-Aero merger and them not playing down there. Yes, they have beat the Aeros twice in Dallas, but to 'protect' their ranking, they don't want to come to northwest Arkansas? Strange as well as their rhetoric they are the leading scoring team in the league. (Psst.. don't go off the ABA standings.. Their not accurate.. Go figure).. Which leads me to...

(4) On the ABA league standings, it says that Waco is 7-17.. OSC is a pretty good source I would say with scores for every game I think.. Add up their record, and guess what? They are 1 and 17.. There are two games with no scores reported and the rest have the dreaded 'cancelled' or 'postponed' beside them... I don't think wins in those two games not reported are going to push them to 7 and 17...

Can any team from Vermont to Bellingham to Arkansas to Jacksonville to Beijing any solace to what they have accomplished this season? All I can say is these Power Rankings definitely rank to high heaven...

I know alot about the texas tycoons team in dallas and the reason they didnt go to arkansas and play is because on the ABA site and on thier schedule it has them playing arkansas aeros at home three times during the year and none at arkansas. The Aeros made up a schedule and called the team 1 week prior and asked them to come play. They said no, 1 because there was supposed to be a home game against the rivercatz and two because it wasnt on the schedule. So.... Arkansas cancelled the scheduled game for march 9th at Texas because they don't want to lose thier ranking. That's how it all went down. Arkansas should lose that march 9th game because it is scheduled but I doubt the leage does anything. And as for the scores and averages I have seen pretty much all of their games in 07 and they have not scored less than 125 on anybody. They are the best team in the ABA. They should clearly be number 1 with vermont losing and them beating arkansas for their only two loses of the season.

But you are wrong on this one.. The one game the Tycoons had on the schedule with the Aeros in Springdale was on the league calendar from Day 1.. Take it for what it's worth but Brad Hester has verified that.. There is no way whatsoever the Tycoons were called a week before and asked to play when the game was on the calendar in October...

I also can guarantee the Aeros lead the league in scoring based off the fact the league awarded a forfeit because of Houston no-showing day of and the fact 0 points are averaged into their record... Add up the points to every game each played and you will see.. I take my scores off OSC every week and know...

You say the Tycoons should be #1 because of beating the Aeros twice.. Valid argument except I have two.. One, the Aeros haven't lost to anyone else but the Tycoons who I see have lost five times.. The second, which I find very funny is one of the Tycoons' losses has been to Waco, who if I am not mistaken has just ONE WIN this year.. Against who? The Tycoons..

With those things said, I have no doubt you know alot about the Tycoons as I know alot about the Aeros... We have our opinions that each should be #1 and can choose to disagree on the merits of each, but we should agree that the league and its lack of uniformed rules, structure and communication is purely the cause to our hoopla...

There is no doubt that Arkansas Aeros and Texas Tycoons are two of the premier teams in the ABA ... and on any given week during this season ... each team could have been ranked #1 in the power rankings.

I think we are all anticipating a good playoff run by Arkansas and Texas.

IMO; beyond the lack of institutional leadership and management of the ABA; if Texas and Arkansas had led their own separate divisions ... and there were a few more teams participating in their geographical proximities ... these issues would have been played out on the court???

I would like to see an All-Texas division ... and Arkansas would lead a division of teams that made sense for travel and competition.

I believe that Arkansas does not have a chance of beating The Tycoons. I saw both games in Dallas and the first one was a complete blowout in which the Aeros were out matched. The Tycoons are too fast and athletic for them and a couple of Aeros players said that themselves. They cant keep up. Texas beat them by almost 20pts and were up atleast thirty twice during the game. The Second game was decent but when Texas applied the pressure once again arkansas folded. Texas might meet them in the playoffs and I guarantee an easy victory. I hope you're watching.
