This is a perfect example of the pussification of America. Since when is someone offended by a team name? If parents are looking for athletes and teams to be role models for their kids, these morons should have never had kids in the first place. Do your job and teach your kids right from wrong. I don't care if a team is called an Indian name, the Bullies, the Flaming P*ssy Lips or anything else. Since when in America does a minority opinion rule the majority?

Just like in Illinois with the mascot for the University. 6 people, who ARE NOT Indians are offended, so the mascot is out. If the NCAA made millions from the school just like they do from Florida State with the Seminole Indian guy riding a horse and throwing a flaming spear at half time, none of the would be an issue. If you don't like something, either don't watch it, buy it, or discuss it. If your easily offended by something you read or hear or see, your a weak minded social retard.

Am I for or against abortion? Fur? Saving trees? Baby seals? Whatever my views are, I keep them to myself. Why don't these holier than Thou self-righteous a-holes mind their own business for a change? In a country where 3,200 men and women have died in a useless war, we're obsessed with Britney Spears shaving her empty head, who banged Anna Nicole Smith, and what team mascot offends us. Perhaps you have too much free time on your hands, or, if your so concerned about your kids getting the wrong messege, try BEING a parent, stop coddling these pathetic kids of America these days, and teach them a lesson yourself. Anyone who is offended this easily, is already soft in the head.

I took care of this too. See my latest post in the Utica Wreckers saga.

I agree with you WHAFAN. But the groups who instigate the complaints will claim 'free speech' and when does that end? There has to be a limit as to what free speech is. Some of the team names, though, even I have a hard time believing. But for example, I have a high respect for Indians. But I see no problem with teams using their names. But Buffalo Bullies? Why not Buffalo Bulls? Oh, I think that's the college name, if I remember. Come to think of it, those two do sound similar.

If I owned a team, they could claim free speech, and I could claim free speech. Until you start paying my bills for me, my team will be known as the Drunken Illiterate Injun's.........Indians sold Manhattan for $24 and a case of hooch. When did they become so sensitive towards everything? And the beauty part is, it isn't the Indians upset, its everyone else!
