I'm as impressed with the new logo as I am with the old logo.

I'm not sure if it's a snowflake, or a sparkler.

I'd rather take the drunken eyeball to the 'county fair midway'.

Good to see Golden's learned his lesson about half-a$$ing it.

IMO, a much better effort for the Fusion.

I still want to know where these people come up with ideas. Did he consult with the NIFL naming and graphics guru first?... oh wait, It'd have to be mispelled.

Guess I can put away my Fort Wayn Futons sign.

What is your definition of effort?

Some kid in a hat shop types the word fusion and bingo . . .your logo is ready!

The first logo was so over the top that literally everyone hated it. The new logo went in completely the opposite direction in the fact that its boring.

As a new team, you need to have a logo DESIGNED. You can't just type out the word "Fusion" and scroll thru your font lists . . . not if you want it to look good anyway . . .

Don't forget the snowflake on acid, .... I bet a whole ten minutes was spent creating that.

Certainly that was the case with Steubenville's logo last year. This year's logo is a drastic improvement.

What is the significance (if any) of Fusion to the Ft. Wayne area? Personally I think a team's nickname and logo should be based on something locally (i.e.-Chattanooga Lookouts for baseball).

Some team names have zero association: New York Dragons, New Haven Ninjas, etc...

The Stampede, despite using a bull, is associated with Steubenville. The high school team here is Steubenville Big Red. They got the nickname because they were seen as fast and powerful as "Secretariat", which was also nicknamed Big Red. Because the team had red uniforms that season, people called them Big Red, and the name stuck, as did the horse image (http://www.rollredroll.com).

When the Stampede were formed, the name the team contest was between Stallions (horse related), Stampede (horse related), RatPack (Dean Martin-related), and Steel City Blast (steel-related). The majority of the voting went to Stallions and Stampede. The team was to go with a horse logo, but it was thought to not 'ride the coat tails' of Big Red, and went with the bull logo instead.

Did that have any tie to Fort Wayne? I liked the logo better.
