It's been a year or two since USPV last played and I am wondering if any new pro volleyball leagues have popped up in North America. I do know there is a successful co-ed league in Japan, (each team in their league having a men's and women's team and they play double headers every game,) but am not sure about this continent.

My personal opinion is they need some sort of timed scoring system. Because they play best of 5 sets, it could end in an hour, or go as long as two.

I hate to suggest conforming the rules for tv, but I guess that's what I'm suggesting.

I remember reading about the old IVA in the 70's. Somehow,it lasted 4 years.I think if it had teams put in large enough cities, gradually it would gain popularity

Crusadersfan - do you have any idea where I can find some information (standings & champions) of the IVA. I have a website dedicated to professional sports and I am always looking for more "mid-major" defunct professional leagues to include on it.
