Odessa is living in fantasy land........Katy has 2 QBs that are more than stellar and one of them is the head coach (he might whip himself into shape)...A Higgs will light this league up....Odessa has a QB that added yardage running the ball.....doesn't happen in the indoor game...good luck.......you have to be able to THROW the football in the indoor game.....total offense does not count....good luck...great signing....ha ha.....katy might be able to beat an AFL team... the talent accumulation is unbelieveable....Katy looks forward to scoring 100 on you (inside research points to this conclusion)......let's get it on.........later

A good running quarterback can add a huge dimension to even this arena-style offense. But Higgs is going to have fun, I think. If Katy can handle his picks...he threw 84 touchdowns (indoor-style record) in 2002, but there was 27 picks with it.

hopefully a man his age ( older then dirt) can handle the humidity and Heat of Texas....

OK. First of all there is an IFL rule against player/coaches. So much for your inside research. And Higgs is 40 years old. No joke! He is 40 years old. And who says the Odessa QB can't throw. 2,200 yards in a season at Temple (of all schools) would suggest that he can probably throw a little. And looks like the 900 yards he had running was because he was probably running for his life at...Temple. Like you said...Lets get it on! As for the 100 points...you are just being foolish! Props for being a dedicated fan though!

I wonder how recruiting is truly going when you are signing a 40 year old and speaking of your retired coach playing.

At 39, Higgs still had a great season in Rapid City, throwing 55 touchdowns in 11 games last year that had NIFL stats (5/game). The IFL game is more wide open than the NIFL game...I don't think he's showing any signs of slowing all that much (he's not as big a run threat as perhaps he was in 2002, though).

Boy, have I missed you guys!! Offseason has been killing me. I'll be interested to see how Higgs does without Majic.
Odessa qb will be fine...this receiving corps is going to be sick. Plus, with the defense they're putting together, Roughnecks will have to score 20 points a game to win.;)

The 84-TD season was without Majic. I don't think he'll be that bad.
And with the rules they play under, even a great defense is going to average 35ish points given up in the IFL.

The QB must of been pretty good, he just got drafted to NFL europe. Good luck to Mr. Washington in the future.

sorry exit, 20 was just a random number to prove a point.
And Washington still has to make the Berlin team...best of luck to him, but he might be back.

Maybe we can get David Carr since his name is mud in Houston.
