SANDERS' FREE THROW SEALS THE WIN
The Brooklyn Comets improved to 3-0 on the season with a 107-106 victory over the Maryland Nighthawks at Montgomery College on Sunday night. Karl Sanders was fouled as time expired in regulation and he knocked down his first free throw attempt to lift the Comets over 7 foot 9 Sun Ming Ming and the Nighthawks. Greg Morton led six Comets in double digit scoring with 22 points. He also grabbed 16 rebounds. Donald Harrison also posted a double double with 19 points and 10 boards. Brooklyn held Sun Ming Ming to just 7 points and 3 rebounds. He became a sixth foul player with just over three minutes remaining in the third quarter.

Next game's against Rochester though...Good luck!

It's good to see--they have a pretty good web presence too. So it appears they are doing things the right way. Jumping in mid-season and cleaning up someone else's mess isn't easy, so I hope they're finding a little support despite the hefty challenge. I admit, I figured this would be a cancelled road game for the R-Sharks, but it looks like I was wrong. And, they're actually a solid looking team.

Yes, because God knows if you hold Sun Ming Ming under a double-double you've really accomplished something.

You can't stop Sun Ming Ming, you can only hope to contain him.

I just found this out too:
4 IN A ROW...
Comets stir up a Frenzy in final three minutes
The Brooklyn Comets trailed 94-86 with just under three minutes remaining but stormed back to top Cape Cod 108-105 for their fourth straight victory.

They deserve to go to the playoffs.
