Cologne

Does anybody know when Cologne will reveal their logo,Helmet and uniforms? Will they keep Barcalona's Green,Red and yellow color scheme or go with something completely different?

German newspapers said that the fans will have the opportunity to choose the teams name from a list of 6 to 7 suggestions. There should be a internet vote on nfleurope.com. The voting should happen in the next 10 days.

Well.... Since the Cologne Crocodiles have been a successful German (American Style) football team....

Would there be an uproar over that name??

And their colors were Green and Yellow...

And looked a lot like the Packers set up...

I think the Cologne Crocodiles might cause an uproar if they flat out stole their name, unless the NFLE wants to buy the team, which I'm sure they don't.

I heard that the name was originally going to be the Centurions, but it was recieved with such a lukewarm reception, that they decided to allow for the vote. I bet the choices are all a bunch of crap. I remember when they had narrowed it down to five for the Houston expansion franchise, and they were something like the Bobcats (ok, I guess, but nothing great), the Apollos (I see where they're going, but it sucks try again), the Stallions (the best so far), the Texans (eventual winner, really lame, in my opinion the worst of all, I mean it's like naming a team the Birmingham Americans, or the Hawaii Hawaiins, something that leagues with less class than the NFL had already stooped to). The last one I can't remember but it was something hideous like Wranglers or Yippee-Kay-yeahs or Dude ranchers or something. Anyway, look forward to some lame choices like that in the future.

There already was talk of just renaming it NFL Germany and adding two more German teams in place of Amsterdam and Scotland. Dortmund, Munich, Hamburg, a replacement for Dusseldorf or Schalke.

Since next year Gelsenkirchen's Arena aufSchalke will have a tenant (either Rhein Fire or an expansion/relocated team), and Dusseldorf wants to have the Rhein Fire back, chances are there will be a nice three-way rivalry between Schalke, Dusseldorf (Rhein), and Koln (Cologne). And throw in the Frankfurt-Rhein Duetschland Derby,... and you've got a great base for a league. Maybe get a rivalry for Berlin to grow with, and NFL Germany would be well established and attended.

Ok.... Now I agree with the NFL Houston Texans being lame...

But you're dogging on the WFL... Who also had the Houston Texans..

And the Hawaii Hawaiians were simply just.... The Hawaiians...
