I saw the Katy roster with Albert Higgs as QB -- he is a very good player last year for Rapid City in the NIFL and will be a great qb in the intense league -- however, with him calling his own plays you won't need an offensive coordinator which will also save money in the first year of the rough riders -- big bang for the buck

Whoa! That is a pretty good pickup. He once held the indoor football record with 84 touchdown passes in 2002...but that was using NIFL-style rules. IFL rules are obviously a little more pass-happy (Jones with 100 TDs last year)

Higgs is not good enough to be a starter in the af2 so its better he stays in a lower league.

It's hard to tell...he threw 84 touchdowns in 2002 with a rule set that allows defenses to play many different coverages. Not all quarterbacks can make the move. Tony Zimmerman threw 91 touchdowns in Quad Cities, and then he found a way to tie Colby Vogt's indoor record with seven interceptions in an AIFL game in 2005. It works both ways.

Great point! When are these people going to see that all of these leagues are about the same.

They use to be. Anymore the af2 is heads and shoulders above everyone else.

Only in your propagandist mind.

after a year of the nifl -- the talent that comes to tryouts along with free agent tryouts are heads and shoulders above the other leagues -- mainly the size and speed with most having d-1 playing time -- not texas southern or prairie view a/m -- playing for alabama, lsu, etc will generally produce a better player

NIFL is at a lower level than UIF, af2 et al. No one will dispute that.

Teams like Wyoming and Fayetteville could compete with anyone, but it's pretty apparent that the out-of-town players are choosing to go elsewhere than even the top NIFL teams.
I mean...Higgs didn't go with Macieczjak?! I guess Katy's paying a pretty good wage.
