ABA ALL STAR GAME SCORING
Wednesday, January 31, 2007

Halifax, Nova Scotia. The ABA All-Star Host Committee is preparing a complete summary of the exciting ABA All Star Weekend. It will be posted shortly on the website. For those of you interested in the scoring, here are some stats.

West All Stars (138) Billy Knight (MVP) 25, Donnie Beacham (Slam Dunk Champ) 22, Jerry Williams 17, Jamal Staten 15, Tyrone Davis 14, Curtis Haywood 13, Jeremy Bell 8, Mike Parker 8, Cardell Butler 7, Lonnie Randolph 5, Curtis Brown 4.

East All Stars (126) Greg Plummer 25, Rob Sanders 21, Robert Martin 19, Drew Washington 18, Cedric McGinnis 13, Katu Davis 11, Aaron Cook (3-pt Champion) 7, Antonio Burks 6, Cordell Jeanty 6.

The game was January 28. There were, what, 20 players total? Where the h*ll are the game stats? My rec league had stats for every game when the game was completed; certainly not 10 days or so later. Is there a delay in the Canadian/US conversion tables?

How is this related? While realy insignificant compared to the RWB Brawl, this is another example of promises not kept, a lack of fundamental information (as well as the boost to the players and their playing resumes), and another example of the less-than-professional attitude that has permeated this league for years.

Pass the popcorn...
