I have heard that the owners of the Outlaws are trying to get the Billings YMCA to purchase the team. I don't know if it is true or not, but I heard it from a reliable source. It doesn't make much sense to me, especially since the YMCA had been in tough shape financially (I hear they are doing much better now). If anyone has heard anything let us know....

It makes all the sense in the world, i hear the owners are business men first and foremost and could care less about the town of Billings much less some Indoor Football team, Dan Austin was the only one of the three who seen it for any thing other than a business venture, and now that he is out the door, the Love and genuine respect for man kind went with him

I think Grand Champion is on the right path.... The guy that owns the team now doesn't even live in Montana. I was told he lives outside of Seattle, so why is he running our team. Makes you wonder why Austin left the team or was he just forced out. So now our head coach lives in Illinois and our owner lives in Washington, if they don't win early I sure won't pay to support these other states.

It doesn't make sense to me. Mike flew around the country to research and secure a deal to leave the unstable league they were playing in and join the UIF. They also, announced they were planning a $3 million practice facility. I can't imagine that he just changed his mind before ever playing one season in the UIF.

Don't get too wrapped around the axle that Dan left. Sometimes people in business just disagree and go their separate ways. No one is to blaim. Plus, I think Dan is too big of a man to wish Mike any ill will.

In the end, it doesn't matter where the owner lives or where the coach is from. They recruit coaches nationwide to get the best they can. Remember, Mike is the same owner who took Billings to the Championship game and fought the BS from CS with his own money to make the Outlaws what they are - including the name.

The Outlaws are a Championship Team - not a team on probation!

Last we heard Mr. Austin planned to help out the Outlaws in any way time allowed. Didn't sound like any bad blood to me. Remember, most team owners rely on other businesses to pay their personal bills. That's where they made their money in the first place. Often the time commitment involved in running a team becomes too much, squeezing out the primary business or family time. I can't speak for Austin, but I'd believe something like that before any other theory.

To say the owner of the Outlaws cares nothing about Billings is hogwash. He was one of the team owners last year when he helped bring your city a championship. Most indoor teams would love to have ownership as committed as the Outlaws.

Here's the problem fella's I have been talking about in the NIFL chat.. The flakeyness of the NIFL is dragging all indoor football down. Because we all see such bad owners, bad manegment, lies and corruption in the NIFL, everyone sees demons in the closet.

Not the case at all here,,, all 3 guys involved and even those before them (D.A.) are all class acts. They have and are doing what is best for the team and community at all times.

Austin stepped aside after and only after making sure the team was moving onward and upward on all fronts. He is still involved on a reduced but as needed basis. MP is a bright guy who is passionate about doing this right.

Anything more is BS,,,,, sorry... these guys run at a differnt level....
