As far as news or otherwise, not likely. But your link is dead, so that is probably an indication that the league is not going to get going, if it ever was going to.

I've come too the conclusion that as long as College Football is still around, their will not be a need for a league like the RFL. The closes we are probably ever going too get too Minor leagues or "Rookie" leagues are going too be leagues like the NIFL, IFL, AF2 and AFL. They simply don't step on the toes of other leagues or other sports and they have the potential too attact fans that are not heavy Football fans. The RFL would be a direct competitor too College Football and possibly the NFLE too a certain degree. If College Football somehow disappeared, the I suppose its possible these leagues could work.

Also, the Indoor/Arena leagues are another way for players who don't go too college too get too a higher league. Look at the AFL's Indiana QB. I don't think he has played any college ball and might have the chance too make it too the NFL or make a career in the AFL.
