The good news is that we beat Montreal 144-88. The bad news is that we had our smallest crowd of the season, about 600 according to the announcers. Strange, because last time in that same arena we drew 1,500.

if you had bad weather, that could affect it. Rochester hosted Long Island in a snow storm and never posted their attendence. That's the only thing that I can think would keep it down.

The only thing I know about Burlington weather tonight is that the wind chill was -29. Possible reasons for lack of attendance:

1. it was -29 wind chill outside
2. Weeknight
3. Crappy opposition
4. Just a fluke bad attendance.

600 people showed up on a week night with a -29 wind chill? On the one had that is pretty impressive! On the other hand, I am a bit concerned about those 600 -- unless the furnace at home wasn't working.

I agree with heavesrock, there were probably a number of factors, especially the Montreal record, and the bone chilling temp. It wasn't much warmer on the inside, either. I will say this, most of the 600 or so that attended, stayed to the bitter end, no pun intended.

It was just a NASTY night up here in the woods of Vermont. I had a game to call down in Middlebury and when I left the windchill was -35. For even 300 fans to show up when it was that brutally cold is saying something.
