Looking at the ABA Standings this morning (Sunday 01/21/07), going into tonight's games ... The ABA has 50% of it's teams who have not played at least half their 36 game schedule ... That's 50% of teams who have not played 18 games to date. And it's now January 21, 2007. What's wrong with that picture?

How can you have power rankings with those types of #'s of games played?

How can a sports league have any credibility ???

And if you look at the Red Conference ... You have 1 team out of the whole entire conference who has played 18 games or more. That's a telling picture also. That's doesn't bode to well for a Great 8 that's scheduled to be held in Los Angeles. Just by the # of games played to date ... Bellingham would be the only deserving team to be apart of the event from the West!

Sounds like the ABA needs to get some games played after the All-Star game.

And I think it's funny that some teams are deciding to take extended periods of time off w/out playing games ... and the ABA appears ok with that???

You have 24 plus teams that need to start playing games.

And let's not forget, all those teams out there who are anticipating not playing any games after the end of Feb. They just can't wait to cancel those games and save that $$$.

I say ... "Who's taking charge of the ABA?"

this is acceptable, but this is not. Do gullible fans who bought tickets to those cancelled games get their money back?

#1 ... The goal across the league should be to have all games played! There should only be postponements, due to weather conditions or factors that prohibit teams from travel.

All ABA teams who cancel games should $ reimburse their patrons ... or allow the ticket to be transferred to any future scheduled game.

And all ABA teams who have had to cancel games should give their patrons an additional free admission voucher, which can be used at any future game.

Somebody must be listening to my rants and raves ... ??? ... The ABA Standings were updated with some games previously not noted in the standings. It's all about those little steps ... little steps.

Let's get those games played (and recorded in the standings)!

Uncle Joe's chronies have like 10 login names. Anyway, in an ideal refunds would be made, but I doubt that happens. Vouchers are worth a piece of toilet paper because who knows if the teams' next games will ever be played?

Most leagues get their games in, weather or not. Again, the ABA isn't like most league. They are making little steps ... I'll give you that. But at this rate, they're scaling Mount Rushmore and it's going one foot at a time. And they're at the base, looking up. That's how bad it is.

Yes, a voucher would not make sense if the team in question was in the process of, or did, fold up shop.

Unfort, Being the ABA is not a normal business, as it pertains to being licensed to do business in all the states, provinces and countries that it has teams in (except for maybe Indiana?) ... there is no accountability.

And you really can't call individual teams - ABA FRANCHISES, because they are really not. Furthermore, I'm not sure if the ABA actually proclaims that fact either ... I believe the term used is --- Market Reservation.

The ABA is a collection of teams who associate themselves with an organization -The ABA. And really, the only thing the ABA has power to due, is to revoke the ABA rights from that management group of those teams who participate in the league.

If it was legit ... You could institute Letters of Credit, $ fines and mandatories ... and if teams don't comply ... you cash the LOC, dissolve the rights ... and those teams are no longer members of the league. Any franchise agreement problems get handled through the courts, if need be ...

And IMO, 98% of those owners should never be allowed back into the league.

That 2% who might be considered for a return ... should be required to take 2 years off to prepare for possible reinstatement.
