I was looking foward to training camp notes but it looks like the AIFA is really the AIFL just with a different name. This league kicks off in 16 days and I haven't heard a lot. Does anyone else have any information?

While the league itself has been less than forthcoming its really up to each individual team to get word out to the fans. Of all the teams in the AIFA the only team that has been doing that is Erie. They also have kept a presence on the message boards as well posting and answering questions. But i do agree with ya arenafan. For the most part it is just the old AIFL running under the AIFA name. I am glad things arent like this in the CIFL. The league front office is always on the board chatting with us fans..........

I just read an article from the Tallahasee newspaper talking about the TITANS scrimmage and how they have been in training camp for 2 WEEKS!! I also know that Huntington started 2 1/2 weeks ago(my good friend is on the roster). The Public Relations and information provided is horrible for this league. I hope this isn't a preview of more to come. I saw the WIFL already had a training camp preview and they haven't even started yet. I am not trying to bash anyone, I just love the sport and want to see it done right.

besides its the individual teams responsibility to release news about training camp goings ons. that why they have PR people. Lakeland does a pretty good job here, we get training camp news in the paper

But the league did have a Communications guy last season and PR was much better. Yes, teams need to do their share, but the league also has a responsibility to market themselves and their member teams too, IMO.

I agree. The league does have to market itself a bit and communicate with the fans with all thats going on. I was just saying that since the league didnt appear to have much to say that the ball, so to say, is in each teams court. The league appears to only communicate when there is a sponsorship deal made or something like that. I would think that they should have more team news on their site and other related updates. If things are this quiet, as a fan, i would be worried. Kinda hard to believe that a business has so little to talk about........

With the incredible sources of releasing information in this day and age you would think that a league that promised so much would try and let the public no what is going on within the league and teams. I am a former NIFL employee and even though I never agreed with the PR person b/c sometimes in the press release he would print statements from the coaches or other personnel without actually getting a quote, he was still getting information out there so the public was aware of the activities of the team. Now I am not advocating releasing false information but I would love to hear more about the AIFA other than we got this sponsor or we got that sponsor. As a fan who cares about what sponsor the league has, I live in a town with an AIFA team and I had forgot they were here until a few days ago when I just decide to go to the league website. This league is doing a horrible PR job and from the way it seems they obviously do not have a league PR person or if they did he is taken them for a ride. From a former NIFL employee this does not look good.

The AIFA is less than forthcoming in updates, however check out the Tallahassee titans web site where you can watch video of our training camp. Our team is set and ready to go. Would love your input. www.tallahasseetitans.com
