Arena football returning to Mennen for 6 home games starting April 21
Revolution to play in Continental League

Opening day for indoor professional football in Morris County will be April 21, when the New York- New Jersey Revolution kick off their home season at the Mennen Sports Arena, officials announced yesterday.

The 2-year-old arena football team, which was homeless last season, will be one of 14 entries in the Continental Indoor Football League, which offers seven-on- seven football on 50-yard fields.

"People will see fast-paced and hard-hitting games," promised league co-owner Jeff Spitaleri of Canton, Ohio. "For the most part, I really think people will be entertained."

The Revolution worked out a deal with the Morris County Park Commission to play its games at the 2,500-seat Mennen Arena in Morris Township, where it expects to host six home games, including the first in April against the Lehigh Valley Outlawz.
