From what I've seen, visiting the 'Gallery' on the Utah Eagles website, the pictures in two games, show me that they have more support than I've read about in this forum. I don't know the capacity of Salt Lake C.C., but it seems to be to be half full, which is pretty good, I think.

Says 5,000. Doesn't look that big... looks similar to, IMO, Albertson College of Idaho, capacity 3,000.

Reading the comments on the pics tells you that they have fans who take pride in the team, that is what every minor league team needs. A solid fan base of people who actually care if the team wins.

I can say this, Albany's attendance has increased in the past few games, surpassing 2,000 per game for a two-game series against Minot. There were an announced 2,242 for last night's (12/29/06) Albany 6-1 victory over the Skyrockets, now the Pats are on the road again for another week.

I've been to three home games. First game, the attendance was 81. I counted. The second was about 90-95 and third was a massive 76. I wil still go because I like to watch any bb. Utah's pr struggles. They provide for little info about game results and players. They fired one coach and brought in a new one. Nothing was said for a few weeks. Games could be advertised better. Front office isn't the most immpressive crew. I can say I enjoy watching Coach Fields. He is enthusiastic.

I would like to see this league survive, as well. I think it is easier for most teams, though, to attract attendence. Here, in Pgh. we have the major sports to compete against, and in Utah, they have the Jazz. Minot is some distance from major cities, Albany is a minor league city, Yakama has no competition from Seattle, Indiana is a distance from the NBA Pacers and both Montana cities have no real competition.
Despite the competition here, I've been trying to help promote the Xplosion, who I hope keep going.
