The article states there are currently 9 teams:
East
Long Island
Brooklyn
Jackson
Delaware (formerly NE Pa Breakers)
Albany
Midwest
Dodge City
Kansas
Oklahoma
Gary
Jackson, Miss isn't near anyone as is Gary. They're going to have to add some more teams.

They need a Wichita or Hutchinson team to shore up the other two Kansas teams and Enid

..my guess is that there will be three divisions of four by the time all is said and done.
Wasn't the USBL talking about Dallas as well? That would fill it one of the holes. The same with Rockford, in that the trip would involve two teams instead of just one.

They had a team in Fort Worth a couple of years ago that only lasted one season. As I recall, they weren't very good on the court.

Texas had the same problem as Florida ... they were all by themselves and the travel expenses got to them. I'd have one Eastern Division and one Midwest and leave it at that.
Get 10 teams to play 2 years and then expand. They only have 6 solid teams right now. Cedar Rapids was solid, but apparently their ownership had issues.

Plus, they were owned by a guy who was all hat, no cattle.
