The St. Louis Stunners have officially had the phones disconnected. I'm guessing the office is closed.Uncle Joe didn't mention this disappearing act on the official website of the ABA.
I just checked, their website is still up(although still not updated) and they have a record of 4-2. What official word do you see that they have folded?

Emails were sent back "undeliverable", and both office phone numbers have been disconnected. Perhaps I'm jumping the gun, but when 2 phones are disconnected, it doesn't look like a future!
I admit that it does sound peculiar that the phone numbers were disconnected. I'd wait to see if they play again, though. I'm more suspicious of Toledo with their canceled games.

When looking at most teams websites, very few were updated, there are no stats, no mention of attendence, they are advertising games from early November. I asked Brad Hester of the ABA what gives. He said its diffiuclt to keep everything up to date, but they're working on it. I would imagine it would be difficult to keep 50 websites updated, but when teams are getting 80 people at games, wouldn't you think that you'd at least provide them with as much current info as possible? It almost seems that things are set up to fail. The team standings on the ABA site aren't even in the correct order. Teams with records of 3-4 are above teams with records of 4-2. They're not alphabetical, not in order of winning percentage, no rhyme or reason. I'm lost trying to figure this out. The softball league I played in at a park district in Chicago had the standings updated 3 hours after games were played. Why is a "professional" league having such a hard time? Everyone is hell bent on saluting this, saluting that, dance teams and mascots, but the main things are ignored. If the ABA owned a restaurant, they'd have nice table cloths, clean silverware, flowers on the table.......but when someone ordered a meal. OOOPS!!! We forgot to stock any food !!
I still don't see why the league has to set a goal for 100 teams, but I also fail to understand why many teams leave out their attendence in their game summaries. It only leads me to believe that their turnouts are far less than 100. Even so, I'd be interested in learning.
As for the many websites that are not updated, that is the responsibility of each team to keep their fans informed. Stats should also be supplied. I don't see this league ever reaching 100 or even anywhere near that figure.
As for the Stunners, I would like to see St. Louis stay around for a while, but things don't look good at the moment with not connected phone lines and returned emails. They have played most(if not all) their games, so that is a good sign. I guess we'll have to take it day by day. If you got any info from the league office, more power to you.

Well, it sounds like you understand why teams leave attendance out. Often it's because they're not proud of it. But, I'm not sure you can always conclude a crowd is under 100. Some teams are embarassed by a crowd of 500, while some are proud of it. The Razorsharks didn't highlight yesterday's crowd anywhere, but over 3,100 is pretty good for an early season weekday game in my opinion.
Even in more organized leagues, teams don't always include attendance in summaries. Generally they only do if the crowd is great. Of course, they usually have box scores that include that statistic buried somewhere. And, most ABA teams aren't posting box scores...

How can you post a box-score when there are 3D-3's and 3D-4's??? No one even knows what in the hell is going on...
Yes, I understand. But that does not mean I agree with their rationale. I believe it's always important to be honest.
As for Rochester, I find that rare, since they have usually included their turnouts(if not on their website then in their paper).
