I don't want to make a new thread for each game, so I'm going to do what we did with the Guard last season and make a season thread.

We lost a major heartbreaker tonight. Pee Dee had a 3-1 lead in the third period, but we bounced back, and tied it with only eight seconds left in regulation. Unfortunately, Pee Dee scored only 35 seconds into overtime, and our comeback was ruined. That one hurts, but at least we get a point out of it.

yeah our comeback was short lived but we will get the next time, i can say this , our fans are better then thier's we might only had a few last night but we were louder then they were,

Another painful loss for the FireAntz. We lost 5-3 to Huntsville, but that score is misleading, according to the boxscore. We were down 4-3, and pulled our goalie to give ourselves an extra man. They scored an empty-netter with a few seconds left, officially sealing the deal. Tough break, but the season is young.

yeah tough break, but we have to look forward to this comming up week, we play jacksonville, i have been talking on the other board before i got booted, about moffat comming, and who he would go after, all i have to say is colly watch yourself, some of us seem to think that moffat will charge colly to see who will defend him

Ouch... we suffered our third straight loss tonight, dropping a 7-5 decision in Knoxville. Hopefully we can rebound as we come back home on Thursday night. Not sure if I can go, but I hope to.

Hey dont be surprised that moffat wont be playing for jax this week. In Florida colghan gave moffat a shoulder shoot to his jaw and he now has a broken jaw.

Glad to see us get back on track with a 5-2 win. I couldn't make it tonight, but chances are pretty good that I'll be able to go to Saturday night's game. It'll be interesting to see the attendance number, because I'd think a Thursday night game wouldn't get as much people as a weekend game.

I think with Saturday being Military Appreciation night there will be a big crowd. It seems like in the past our biggest attendance numbers have been from the Millitary Appreciation Nights and I expect this year to be no different!

I was thinking the same thing. I think I remember reading that 7,000 or so people came to Military night one year. So Saturday night will definitely be a good night for me to go.

Great job by Garrett Kindred tonight in Knoxville. We lost 3-2, but from the reports of Knox fans, he really kept us in the game. They said he made some great saves and that the score should have been much higher. A couple of "easy goals" turned into saves. I can't wait to see this kid play at home.

I'm definitely going to be at the game tonight. Like I said after the first game I went to, the riser seats were a bit too close (I couldn't see the action on the other end very well), so I'm going to get a seat a bit higher up. Hopefully right at the red line, but apparently, the ticket people don't let you choose that.

yes they do. If you tell them what seats you want, they will try to get you there. If the ones you want aren't available, they will try to get you as close as possible.

Well, the first time I went there, I tried to do that, and the lady wouldn't let me. I guess it depends on who you get. About the game, though...

I had another fun night at a FireAntz game. I seem to be fight repellant or something, because fights never happen when I'm there. This was only my second game, but still. I'm a good luck charm for the FireAntz, though... when I'm there, they're 2-0, and they outscore their opponents 17-9. :D

Well, I think tonights game was great with the 5-4 win. I would've loved to see Stephens get the open-net goal! But the guys played hard and deserved the win!!

However, after the game, while standing at my seat (which is on the glass near the other team's bench) My Brother and I were motioning towards the exit. It was done as a joke without any rudness. However, A certain player *cough*English*cough* decided it was necessary to flip me off and say F**K You. Now, me being a 16 yr old girl I found that very inappropriate. All I have to say is I have lost all the respect I had for that team.

I hope the Antz play hard tommorow and get another win!!

To All Of Our Fayetteville Fans,,,,, Dont Go To The Gades Games... Away.. We Went Last Night And I Was So Upset... They Were Rude, Threw Stuff At My Son Who Is Not Even Two Yet And As We Were Leaving Theythrew Beer Bottles At Our Car, Some Half Naked Guy Came Tapping On Our Window Saying You Suck... Im Not Caring Who Won Or Lost Yes I Wished It Was Fayetteville But I Wonder If We Would Have Won What Would Have Happened... Our Cars Trashed.....

no not all were bad, some were nice and greeted us... but the good was out wieghed by the bad, and i dont care who won... i just didnt like being disrespected, our fans would have never done that, and if they had they would have been escorted out!!!!

my son should have been respected, not had things thrown at him, he was scared in and leaving the game, he was crying, and never and i mean never has my son cried at a game....

maybe they werent aiming for him but he was hit.... and even if they were aiming at him.. there should not have been anything thrown in the first place.. no matter who they were aiming for.. that is rude and disrespectful

im sorry to hear that an incident like that took place in our facility. i wanna apoligize on the behalf of our fans and hope you guys do come back to Richmond . the few Antz fans i spoke with were very nice to me. im gonna be honest in saying we have our share of drunk idiots, but the majority of our fan base (at least the ones i have known in my 14 yrs of being a fan of Richmond minor league hockey) are excellent fans. i just want us to be able to show you all the same respect that i was treated with when i was in fayetteville opening night. i had an excellent time down there and look foward to coming back down this friday night.

I picked a pretty bad game to go to. We looked flat-out awful tonight. Hopefully things will be better the next time.

Go to an Oakland Raiders game and if the kid were dressed in the other team's colors, they'd beat him to death.

Maybe it's better I went to the blowout instead of tonight's game. Looks like it was a tragic loss. We've got to things back on track, because we're struggling right now. Hopefully we will.

last night at richmond

we finally got a game against richmond under our belts, but at what cost... welter has a concution...from a bad check, josh tataryan has a slash on his face, and a few of the guy got sucker punched just sitting on the bench, im telling you richmond player need anger management....

What is up with that team??? I was finally able to listen to the last period after getting the boys settled, I heard the ending when the players went over to the bench, but I lost connection after that. I know Nick was one of our players that "attack".

Congrats to Nick for scoring 2 goals. Glad to hear that he actually got to play last night. Can not wait for them to return to Fayetteville. Wish them all the luck in sunny Florida at the end of the week. :-)

im not sure, i know the ref made some bad calls and missed some but i quess they just lost their minds, yeah some of the richmond team went over and smaked up on our guys, i just cant believe it,,,, i know josh has a concution but he is ok today, im not sure if he will play next game or not,,, i hope so,,,, i guess the ref just lost the handle of the game....

the refs definitely lost total control. he did not know what to do in the last minute of the game. he did make some bad calls that lead to Richmond going nuts. in the last 30 seconds i think every fireant got cross checked to the ice but the ref was scared to stop the clock
